I purchased this item after purchasing one that was similar. The reason being that the first one did not protect my forehead during my walk, it was about 15 degrees that morning. I have a big head. The material around the forehead looped over like an arch. The rest of the balaclava had a tight snug fit. This one is good for a person with a smaller head who is willing to wear a hat in order to protect the forehead area. I wore it under a hood, and it kept the rest of head, face and neck warm. I returned this one and kept the first one in case it got really cold in which I will need to wear a hat. The first one I kept is listed under Brand: QMQYJZ Autumn and Winter Warm Balaclava Headset Mask, Hunting, Camouflage Skiing Mask, Lightweight and Comfortable. This one is good for the ones that have a bigger head. Doesn't fit quite as snug as I'd like, but that could be just me. My head is 58cm/7 1/4-7 3/8 US. Seems thick and warm enough (in the cold, most anything beats nothing) it's breathable and has stretch. I suppose it's a quality as you could expect for Chinese made, which sadly most things are.
