CAROTE 10 Frying Pan Set Non-Toxic PTFE PFOA Free Fry Pan Omelet Pan Compatible with Induction Ceramic Gas

This pan is my new favorite breakfast preparer on the range. I use a gas cooktop or induction plate, and this works well on either surface. I try to take good care of my kitchenware, and this will be no exception. That said, it is easy to clean after use and letting it cool ahead of time is key. Aluminum is a relatively soft metal and can warp easily if not taken care of. The non-stick surface cleans up so simply, even after sitting a while to cool. I rarely scorch food, but it has happened a few times. I like how tolerant this pan has been in those times. I goofed up some salmon, trying to get a good sear, and I let the pan get too hot. My fish was a tad overcooked and the pan looked like hell, but it cleaned up like nothing happened. The fish, well, it was not my best effort. I decided at that point, that cast iron would be my choice for searing meats, but this pan will be my go-to for all things breakfast. It cooks eggs, bacon, omelettes, hash browns, sausage, ham and many other foods without sticking or difficulty plating when ready. The handle stays cool, especially on the induction plate, and I never worry about burning myself while handling this pan. The vented lid fits snugly and creates a near air tight seal, but for the aforementioned vent. It keeps all spills and spatters at bay, allows for tossing ingredients without spilling out, all the while remaining in place without worrying about it rattling or coming loose. My only negative, if it is one, is that the included screwdriver is a bit short for assembling the handle to the pan. I needed to use my own ph2 screwdriver with a long shank, to get the screw tight enough to keep the handle from wobbling. If you have something to use, like I did, I recommend using it rather than the one provided. I have large hands and maybe this was part of the problem, but I don't think so. I think the cost/benefit ratio is awesome if you like to cook, and are willing to take care of your wares. If you've read this far, that question is already answered. I have killed more non-stick pans by using them incorrectly than I can count. The main issues were using high heat, not allowing the pan to heat up slowly on low or medium heat and then using metal utensils to turn food and stiff brushes to clean them (required because I had already damaged the non-stick surface.) This is a lovely pan with very specific instructions for use and care. I followed them and this pan cooked my scrambled eggs perfectly without oil. To clean it all I had to do was wipe the excess cooked egg off with a paper towel then clean the surface with a bit of soap on a wet paper towel (a non-abrasive sponge should also do the job.) As a result, the pan was easy to use, very easy to clean. I have been following the directions on my other new non-stick pans and have been rewarded with easy use and cleaning. This pan is very attractive, especially with the faux-wood grained handle and a flat lid surrounded by a (silicone?) ring to let it sit softly and securely on top of the pan. The lid also has a thoughtful silicone vent grommet to let the pan breathe during cooking. They include a screwdriver so you can easily affix the handle to the pan and the knob to the lid. The also include an extra screw and washer for the handle, and an extra silicone grommet for the lid. This one is a home run. Read more
