My most cherished sweater!!! I'm over the moon with this beautiful Irish sweater! The Connemara Green is stunning! The fit is perfect! I'm 5'4", 160# and the medium not only covered my rear, but looked amazing with leggings. This sweater is soft, not itchy and warm enough for low 40's without a coat. I have wanted an Irish wool sweater for a long time. In traveling to Scotland this fall, I felt the perfect opportunity to get one. I wanted one that was large enough that I could wear layers under yet still flattering enough to fit nicely drapping the waist to the lower hip area to lay well over jeans or leggings. The picture of it on a woman seemed it was longer/slimmer than it really was upon order. I am 5'5", 128 lbs. I like to wear yoga leggings or fitted jeans with boots and like my bulkier sweaters to lay evenly down to the mid buttock are as appeared in the picture. I ordered the medium and while I loved the color and the material...thick wool but still nicely soft...it only hung to the waist, not as long and more wider than I had hoped or saw in the pictures. In all my countless hours of research for the perfect sweater I had in my mind's eye, this was the only that I loved in the pictures. And the price was the best out of all the places I searched. While I have not replaced this sweater/reordered, if I do, I may try the large to see if the length in more of what I desire without adding more width. Have not decided to do so yet as well as the grey seems to be sold out more. Read more

I was hesitant to order because of fit, but turned out to be fine: ordered XS and am a 5’1” woman who usually wears a size 4. I was attracted to this sweater because I love big cowl necks in winter and while I already have a traditional natural-color Aran sweater, I liked the green. The color green is incredibly lovely, it is a blend of teal-green and olive yarns, a very heathered look. The drawbacks: it is definitely a heavy sweater, don’t consider unless you live where it gets cold in winter. Also the wool is slightly scratchy, which is not a problem for me as I was planning to wear it over a thin cotton turtleneck, also in green. Read more

The details for this sweater say that it is "MADE OF 100% MERINO WOOL: Stay warm all winter with this lovely cable knit sweater, made from 100% super soft Merino wool. " I love the look and fit of the sweater. I just don't know if I will wear it since it is so itchy. I didn't think it would be itchy since it is Merino Wool. I am debating returning the sweater.
