I got these because they were so highly recommended but I found they are not sharp enough to give a clean cut to my cat's nails I can cut two or three times and end up with something clean but most cats aren't going to sit there and let you cut two or three times on each nail so I'm not sure I would recommend these unless I just got a fluke pair that wasn't Sharp it's hard to say.
