The color is a beautiful vibrant green which is a good sign of freshness and quality that I’ve learned. From the moment I opened the pouch, I could tell this one was different in a good way. The taste is earthy but not bitter at all like others I’ve tried. I’ve been enjoying it both hot and over ice which is my preference. It’s so hard to find a single cultivar matcha at this price point that delivers. The color and taste were great… honestly, it’s sweet in a latte with just milk! This is a nice and smooth matcha powder as someone who drinks matcha 2 times a week. Without sweetener, the matcha presents a slightly umami and bitter taste with hints of a dark chocolate flavor, With sweetener (honey or maple syrup) it increases the dark flavor and decreases the umami taste.
