I tend to prefer slightly smaller and shorter knives due to having smaller hands. This wooden handle knife is quite light and easy to handle. It doesn't cut crunchy carrots easily, but it does just fine with cakes, small softer fruits, and other such food items. Due to the wood handle, I hand wash and dry with a towel. It only takes a moment and I do this with all my knives. Inexpensive price so I may consider picking up a couple more to use at the office and not worry about losing them. Without a cover, I would not bring this knife along on outings. Chef Craft Select Stainless Steel Granny Knife, 6.75 inches in Length 3 inch Blade, Wood Handle Read more

I really like this little paring knife - exactly what I was looking for. It is very, very, sharp and quite “user friendly”. I like a wooden handle paring knife (I grew up with this style knife so my hand welcomes it nicely). I do know some people don’t care for the wooded handle style knife - then this knife’s NOT for you. It product says it is dish washer safe; however, I can’t give an opinion on that as I only wash my wooden handle knives by hand. I believe the dish washer may dry out the wooden handle to cause splitting of the wood so I don’t choose to clean them in that appliance. I will say these little paring knives are extremely SHARP and can handle any paring job you give them. Price is right, too. Hope this review is helpful. Read more

I needed a small knife to divide cat chew medications into halves and quarters. And sometimes to open the chew pack - you can't always pull back the little corner tab successfully. This works fine for both purposes. Also for miscellaneous kitchen jobs, from removing rind from a cheese wheel to opening tightly-sealed plastic wrappers (e.g., bread inner liners). The wood handle not only looks nice but also gives a decent grip. It is fairly sharp. I was not cautious when cleaning by hand and was neatly nicked. Speaking of cleaning, a drop of dish cleaning liquid carefully rubbed up and down the blade, followed by a good rinse, works well. Recommended, especially for the price (under $4). Read more

The kitchen knife replaced a similar knife that has been miss placed. It is small and sharp and the stainless steel shows no signs of rust or corrosion and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a small kitchen knife, with a wood dark handle. The price was inexpensive just a small knife nice have around Read more
