I don't do a turkey with out this. Most turkeys come with these but with the freezing process I think they can become unreliable Ive had a few holidays that the thermometer doesn't pop if the turkey(and thermometer) has been frozen so now I make sure to have a new pop in thermometer for every turkey I make Ive NEVER had one not pop up on time. If you want to know if your poultry is cooked, use one of these awesome little devices. Takes the guesswork out to know when the poultry is done rather than trying to put in a thermometer and it's in the wrong place, giving a wrong perception of whether it's done. I got the turkey thermometers since I only cook a bird at Thanksgiving. These are my go-to thermometers. I insert it into the breast and wait for it. Easy and fool-proof. Read more

These seem impossible to find in our local stores, so I bought these on Amazon in 2024. They worked well at Thanksgiving and Christmas, now a year later, I'm back for more. Apparently, 'professionals' don't like to rely on them (they recommend a meat thermometer). We'll use both. Plus, they're kind of fun to use. :) Happy Thanksgiving. Read more
