My first espresso machine. I have used it everyday since I bought it to make myself double espressos. Easy to use and clean. It has a steam wand but I have not used it. The things I have learned : use good quality dark beans and fine grind them. Buy yourself a good tamper to push down the ground beans. After a few times I was able to get the tamping down so I get a perfect crema everytime. Nice creamy espresso. Yum. I also bought a set of porcelain espresso cups and saucers and a glass frothing cup ( in case I try to use the frother one day ). Im saving myself a lot of money by skipping the coffee shops and making my own espresso at home. Great value. I sometimes add a little cream or syrup flavors to the cup before I make the double shot espresso for a nice treat and change. Stainless steel color looks sharp and modern. Read more

Great espresso machine for the price. It is my first and before I spent 2,3,4 hundred or more I wanted to make sure it would be used. I use it every day for shot of espresso in my coffee. I am new to espresso and would like to enjoy without breaking the bank and tried few before that I have to return due to water spills, jamming and shut off in between making coffee due to overheat. I have been using Espresso machine for nearly 6 months on and off and finally I can say - I love the product for the following - price - space - preinfusion and pressure gives rich crema - with right espresso beans freshly grind to right size - auto shutoff The espresso taste is based on the espresso coffee beans and I tried a few. The preinfusion and pressure system gives a rich crema. Tried with freshly ground coffee beans and it took a while for the right size - not too coarse, not too soft - can give rich crema with espresso flavour and fresh coffee smell. Everyone has the sweet spot, try different and do not get discouraged. The taste and flavour - in my opinion not any issue of any decent espresso machine. The device protects itself from overheating and auto shuts off after usage. Sometimes, especially when I am busy doing others - autoshut off helps. I clean the portafilter after every usage and its has been good without anything get struck. Unfortunately, they are 4 issues that I felt the design of machine could have been better and took one star away for the budget espresso machine - Milk frother, once I use the frother - the system holds off with blinking lights likely overheated and cannot use the espresso. Frother gets cold and looses air. I am using whole milk. Requires a separate frother to enjoy a hot espresso. - The portafilter handle broke after 3 months of usage. The screw holding the handle and the portafilter inside the handle separated, and there is no easy way to fix it. Reached out to seller and the advice was to get a new one, rather to fix new one. There is nothing wrong with portafilter or the handle - just the attachment screw came out or loosened from inside. - Espresso making sound, initially for first 2-3 months the coffee machine was not too loud. Recently its been getting louder than normal. -The cup holder base is smooth, if you are making espresso and not paying attention to the cup - it might slide off due to the vibration and can spill over. I have to put a wet paper towel and leave it there to ensure, I do not accidentaly lapse my attention while making coffee. Overall, the espresso for the cost is a good purchase - recommend cost concious espresso users. Hopefully, the manufacturer takes the design issues seriously in the next product upgrade. Read more

My thoughts on this espresso machine, especially after my old one, which lasted almost three years, started having issues. I tested several machines in the sub-$200 range, and while I initially leaned towards a known brand, this one is a clear winner. Here are the pros: The espresso it produces is exceptionally rich and much more flavorful than what I got from other machines. It has an instant start-up time. Cleaning is a breeze; unlike most machines where you have to forcefully tap the portafilter to remove the coffee grounds, with this one, even dried grounds come out effortlessly. Digital display is a bonus. I have not used the steam wand, so I can;t comment on it. The only con I've noticed is that some coffee powder sticks to the head and falls off once it dries. I just received the CHULUX cold brew espresso machine touch screen today. So far so good. As an Ex-Barista the espresso machine works very well and makes grate espresso. We will see if it continues over time but as of receiving it today I love it. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Great little cheap expresso machine for beginners. I’ve been enjoying it until I noticed that its been dumping small metal shavings into my coffee. The instructions clearly says to run the machine a couple of times to eliminate any manufacturing smell, taste etc. Its been over a month now and I just bought a coffee mug that the inside is black, I always run the hot water in order to drain any leftover water. As I was getting ready to dump the water, I noticed something shining in the bottom. All this time we have been making coffee and its been dumping metal shavings into my coffee all this time. If it wasn’t for me using a black bottom coffee mug I might have never noticed. Do yourself a favor and steer away from this death trap. Read more
