This is without a doubt, the best vacuum I've ever owned. It is not too heavy but heavy enough to feel like it is working. The designer must have been a woman because it is ergonomically perfect. There is a handle just above the bagging unit to carry the vacuum. The bagging unit is 'sealed' so that when you go to change the bag, dust and particles do not escape. There are 4 attachment tools which are SECURED to the back of the unit. I mean - they will NOT fall off when you are working. Suction on the hose is as powerful as the vacuum itself. It is thin enough to fit under most furniture. It has a hardwood and carpet setting that actually work - when the setting is on hardwood, dust does not blow everywhere but the rotors stop moving so you can vacuum the fringe on rugs. I cannot say enough good things about this vacuum - oh and my husband loves it. Did I mention I have two indoor dogs and 4 indoor cats??? And two teenagers and a four year old? LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! This is my second Cirrus and do like the product. I researched for sometime before deciding on the first Cirrus vacuum I bought. It had everything I wanted and needed for my purposes. The wand that comes out quickly to pick run along the baseboards, the floor option where the brush doesn't go around, and also the fact that the brush will stop when vacuum handle is put into the upright position. That was very important to me. It came with a long cord on the first vacuum but the second one came with 5 feet less cord which has caused me some problems. The parts are easy to replace which brings me to the bad part of this vacuum. Too many plastic parts. I do not use the vacuum for once a week housecleaning. I clean occupied houses and empty houses/apts. before a new tenant and sometimes I have 2-3 jobs per day anywhere from 5 to 7 days a week. My vacuums get a lot of use. I chose this vacuum over a commercial vac because most of those do not come with the options I mentioned at the beginning of this review. The suction is strong but there is a latch that can be opened to vacuum area rugs that need to be done with less suction. All in all it is a great vacuum and I will buy another one when this one gets worn out. I recommend it. Also, it's not real light but is not heavy like the Eureka I have for home use. Read more

Vacuum is ok but I broke the part that holds it upright and have been waiting for 4 months for repair shop to get the part. Told me it would be March after being back ordered but nothing yet. Also hose ends on two of the attachments have cracked. Attachments seem pretty cheap. Cord does not stretch out very far without vacuum tipping over. Read more

Bought one and within a few months the hinge broke, making the machine not optimally positioned to pick up dirt etc. Vac repair place said it was under warranty and was calling for part. He never got it. ITM the vacuum lost suction <18 mo after purchase. I sent a letter to Cirrus. A smooth-talking salesman called me to apologize and said he would have the part sent to my vac repair place. Never happened. For $600 I really expected a lot more. they do not stand behind their product. Even when it worked it was average--nothing fantastic and very heavy. Back to the disposable bagless machines again. This is an excellent replacement for an older Eureka Boss. It is more expensive than the mainland Chinese models (this one is made in Taiwan), but it has the quality and good engineering I've come to expect from Taiwanese products. Vacuuming is much easier with this model, as the brush adjusts automatically to different carpet heights and the hose has more stretch for using hand attachments. Another much appreciated feature is the small rubber collar on the bags which seal the bag compartment from dust AND come with a "dust tab" which seals the bag opening when you're ready to replace it. Worst vacuum ever! My $50 Black and Decker dust bust does a better job. This vacuum does not clean it blows everything in every direction! I have changed the bag 3x and the lite is still on to check the bag. Don’t waste you money!! Read more
