Update: This vacuum has now failed after 2 years. We no longer can choose for the brushes to work and it burns up. It has been cleaned and taken care of, but it appears that this particular vacuum was not well made. I'm kicking myself for not trusting Consumer Reports. I will not buy another one of these. This vacuum has worked great so far - only had it for a couple of months. We have an 8 month old toy aussie - so not a lot of pet hair, but this machine does a good job with it. It is a bit heavy so if that is an issue for you, you may want to consider something else, but overall it ranks as the best vacuum we've had in the last 20 years. Read more

I already own one of these vacuums. When we were in need of a second vacuum, I bought a cheaper Shark vacuum and was so disappointed. After six months of cat hair blowing away from me, I broke down and bought another cirrus. Couple of comments though. The small flat tool seems to have been changed. My old one had ridges or little teeth so it slid easily on floors. Now it doesn't, and it sticks to the floor as you try to vacuum. That's a bit annoying. Also wish it came with a large flat accessory, but I can get one at the vacuum cleaner store. Great vacuum overall. Read more

I received my Cirruus Performance Pet Edition model #CR99 on July 19.I bought the extended warranty & 12 HEPA bags. The button that you have to push to extend the wand fell off within 2 weeks. I was going to return at that time but I thought I could fix it. I couldn't, it kept falling off. I bought this particular one because of the HEPA and coal filter. I have dogs and don't like the odor from bagged vac. Even with the filters this still has an odor. I complained Aug. 17. I was going to return it, decided not too. They replaced the wand with one that has a bent end and sent me vacuum pearls for the odor. I took pics but I can't post them on my review...? I would not recommend. Read more

I've only used this vacuum about 5 times since I've purchased it because it gets clogged every time after about a minute or so, even set at the highest suction. The "Check Bag" light comes even though I have yet to fill the bag to 50% and soon realized that it's due to a blockage elsewhere which results in me having to remove the plate on the bottom and unclog the debris (dog hair and dirt) lodged in the hose. With two large dogs that have short hair I was expecting much better performance than this. My Electrolux Egg, which I purchased 3 years ago for hardwood floors outperforms this vacuum on carpeting ten-fold. Read more

I've had this vaccum for a couple weeks now and I can say that it is much better than any bagless vac I have ever had, and I've had many, since they only last about a year before there useless. I'm impressed with the quality and ease of use, it rolls over carpet effortlessly, whereas many others you have to struggle with and if you raise them up so you don't have to then they wont pick up.
