Man, my left wrist and thumb were so painful. I had an acute de quervain's tenosynovitis scenerio and I needed a brace quickly. I initially tried another design and different type of brace but it did not support my thumb enough and it had zero wrist support. So I decided to give this one a try. So glad I did! Now, I have only used it for a couple of days but man, this one is awesome! What I like about it is that it has TWO straps to tie down, secure, and immobilize my left thumb. Others seem to only have one strap for your thumb. In addition, this brace had two wrist/forearm elastic-band, velcro straps so you can quickly and easily customize the brace to your liking. And when I put it on and use it, my wrist/thumb are both comfortable and secure. Furthermore, it is well made and seems of high quality. I liked how it came with three cloth sleeves to wear underneath the brace. Overall, I really like this brace, I think it's a great value for the price, and I do recommend it to others. After discovering a really bad pain and popping sensation in my wrist I did some research and ended up purchasing this brace! The first thing I noticed was the perfect fit! They give you 3 under protection, like a mesh sleeve between your arm and the brace. The Velcro positioning and strength give amazing support. It’s not to compact or to bulky.. it really is just fit to you once adjusted properly. It worked for me, gave my wrist stability and strength while I was healing. I bought one each left and right. They're sturdy and come with these little sock covers for your hand to protect you from irritation as you wear them. They're comfortable for the most part, but I'd size up if your forearms increase in diameter, as I ordered the size per the chart and when my hand swells, my arm swells and it's difficult to get a good placement of the straps when it's trying to pinch you when you're swollen. Great value, not super bulky, keeps your wrist and thumb stable, and fits well at my wrists. Read more
Best brace yet! I have several of this type of brace and this is the best one yet. It is comfortable and the velcro doesn't seem to wear out as fast as some of the others. The dual stretchable straps allow me to adjust the tightness of the brace better than just the single stretchable strap because they can be adjusted separately for different levels of compression. Fits as described. Comfortable to wear stockinette that came with it is great it keeps brace cleaner. You ca wash the stockinette. Would buy again. This is actually my second purchase. I have bought a left and right hand. Very satisfied. Read more
I ordered 7 braces total counting this one. None fit as comfortable as this one esp for sleeping. Its padded on the inside which is nice. The opposing directions straps are what sold it for me. It allows better fit and even tension on the entire brace. All the other braces were snug at the wrist and loose closer to the elbow. It is a thicker brace but the weight is worth the comfort level. Only down fall is it doesn't breath well but what brace does???? I ordered a second one for work. Highly recommend. Read more
Used a ton of these over the past few years and awaiting surgery for severe arthritis on thumb. Great brace. Is really comfortable, not bulky so can put work gloves over it. Have a ranch so wear a brace at least 16 hours/day. The bungee with Velcro is great and does not have huge Velcro straps to catch on everything. Breathable fabric is nice. Suggest get a work one and keep clean one for sleep. Might need to tweak support metal a bit to match your wrist/thumb curves and then fits great. Read more
Much more breathable and comfortable than my splint I got from my doctor, but the velcro started not working after just 2 weeks of wearing it 50% of the time. I reached out to this company that makes these and sells them, and they were not helpful at all. I didn't have this issue with other brands. The splint never got to where I couldn't use it with the other brands, but this one didn't last long at all.
