I wish the manufacturer would have taken a little bit more time explaining what this machine does and how to use it properly, so I will try to cover that blank. This is NOT a traditional coffee maker, is not a filter brewing machine and is not an espresso type, it works under the infuser principle, if you put coffee beans in hot water, the beans eventually release their oil and flavors into the water making coffee, same as the tea is made. Now what is this machine? Is essentially a mug with a stirrer and a sort of cage to hold the coffee beans or tea leaves, it does NOT heat up the water, you NEED to provide hot water (which makes the portable function difficult IMO as you will need another way to boil water or source it if you're on the road traveling/camping), then you place coffee beans in a compartment at the top of the mug (you can also use already grinded coffee but if they're fine grinded (like the espresso type coffee) you might end up with grains in your coffee), then you close and seal the cup and press the button (the only one it has) the light above the button turns green and a stirrer inside start to move the water inside to make the infusion process work faster, there is no timer and does not tell you when the coffee is done, the top has a thermometer display where you can monitor the temp of the water, is a great idea but there are a few hiccups. The button to activate the stirring is incredible hard to press, the charger port is at the bottom of the mug so you can't charge it in an upstand position, would have been better to have in on the side maybe? and finally the fact you need hot water to work makes it a little more difficult to use if you're on the road or camping in the middle of nowhere. When I saw "Portable Coffee Maker," I was excited because I am often on the go in the morning and thought having coffee made on the go would be great. When I saw the smart temperature feature, I thought that was even better because my coffee always gets cold so fast, and depending on where I am, I can't always microwave it to reheat. I should have read more before purchasing this because none of what I expected was included, so I was rather disappointed. There are basically no instructions; it does not make coffee; it only stirs it. It does not heat or keep coffee hot; it only displays the temperature. Perhaps I should have investigated further. I do not drink tea, and I saw people mentioning its use with tea in other comments, so I gave it to my sister-in-law. Hopefully, she will enjoy it. Read more
