A velvet material that can hold up to the amount of sequins. Zipper closure that made the dress fit snuggly. Only issue I would have returned for a small size for the bust size. It was a little large but a well placed safety pin and I was good to go. I do recommend wearing a taller heel if you are shorter than 5'5. Dress was made very well. It has some stretch. There’s a lining so the sequins are not scratching your skin. I’m 5”5. 260lbs. I ordered the 3x. I had on heels and it was still a little long on me but didn’t trip me up. The lining stays put and doesn’t bunch under the dress. The material was nice quality and you could not see through it.
