Columbia Womens Anytime Bootcut Pant II

I just bought 2 more because I love them so much. I don't know what the other 2 reviewers were talking about, almost like they were planted to diss these. So here's my experience. I went to an outdoor store and tried on 18 pairs of pants to only come home with these! I wanted a pant I could travel with that would work as dress pants, hiking pants, and airplane pants. And these do the trick. GOOD: Pull up, wide waist band, stretchy comfortable material, no cargo pockets to dress down the pant, no butt pockets to dress down the pant; Not skin tight, happy day! The thighs are generous, so the pants are more comfortable and more modest for all venues. More of a classic straight leg instead of the trendy wide leg. secret zipped pocket. Medium is generous. I'm a 10 in pants, and these mediums fit perfectly. Lovely classic cut for every need! NOT GOOD: too long. I had to hem them. Probably 33". Material is thinner than I wanted, but it does have a brushed interior to make them workable in the winter. Only comes in black. I would also buy in other colors if they were available. Read more

Tried these on at a "department store" but found them much cheaper online. Wow, these are a great pant! You can wear them hiking or with heels for a dressier option. High waisted, light weight, casual or dress up Exactly what I was looking for for our Trip to Italy. 2 deep side pockets, one pocket with an additional smaller zipper pocket. I bought these as a replacement for Columbia Anytime Outdoor bootcut pants which I love but they stopped making. While these are nice pants and fit as expected, I did return them because they are not an equivalent pant to the ones I love. These are thicker material (still thin, but thicker than I want. I work outside and really loved the Anytime Outdoor that I am used to. These are nice for dress or casual pants, good quality, but just not what I was hopping for. …the search for a replacement continues. Read more

Absolutely adore these pants. I had purchased a pair at a favorite outdoor store in black. There were no other colors available. So, I checked Amazon. These are perfect for working out, walking, traveling, & wearing in general. Compared to higher end work out/traveling gear. I prefer theses to the higher priced slacks. They are comfortable, the inner pocket insures I don't lose keys. These run a tad bit tighter than the ones I purchased at a brick & mortar store. I like them so much, I order two other colors. So disappointed. The original version of these pants were perfect for a pear shape that has trouble finding active pants. Taking away the draw string for a pant meant for curves makes it non functional. me, 5'4 140 34/28/39 generally wear 8/10 in pants, was 8 short in the original pants. Ordered both Mshort and Sshort. Medium had hard time getting fixed nonstretch waistband over hips, but the hip area was wierdly baggy and pouched unflatteringly. The small could not even get over hips again because of the terrible design of the fixed waistband. devotees of the original, dont waste your time with these. Read more

These pants have a a styling/fit issue for me. Very exaggerated flare out at the hips and then full in thigh. They get slimmer at knees and then another very exaggerated flare (more than a traditional bootcut, I think). Typical Columbia quality fabric and construction. Styling and fit just not right for average body type. I say this with love: if you have fuller hips and thighs, you will love these pants. Read more
