This looks really nice and is of good quality. It heats quickly, possibly faster than the glass one it replaced. I love the look and it's a bit slimmer with a smaller base since it's not tapered as much as most. I kept part of the cord wrapped under the base to custom fit. It's nice not having excess cord on the counter. The metal surface looks great and it isn't any hotter than a glass kettle. I highly recommend! Read more
My first kettle purchase! Recently started drinking morning & evening tea and was getting tired of boiling the water on the stove each time. This kettle works quickly to boil water, love the alert beeps, and the visible water level. Straight forward to use and appreciate the auto shutoff. i deducted 1 star (would have been a half or quarter star if available) only because you cant see the water level from the outside and the lid cant open straight up for filling, but this is a great unit. boils fast and stays cool to the touch on the outside. also, the contact point to the base is in the center so it swivels to any position. this is a great unit. i bought this one because my other one (not this brand) that i bought 14 years ago gave out. if this one lasts as long, that would be great.
