I have tried other versions of the shoulder ice pack that didn’t have a separate wrap and this design is much better. First the wrap keeps the ice pack colder for longer which is really needed for the shoulder. Second, it is more comfortable when using. Third, it’s easier to put on than the ones without a separate wrap. I also like that you get two ice packs which is great for icing more often. Taking the ice packs in and out is a bit of a pain as it is a tight fit but still very doable. Read more

This shoulder brace and ice pack combo are wonderful. It comes with two ice packs so I am able to switch them out for continued therapy if I so wish. If you want to alternate between heat and cold you can leave one of the packs out and heat it as needed. The straps are long enough to go around without causing too much pain (both of my rotator cuffs are torn) and they provide a good amount of compression so that I can really feel the cold (or heat). I was thinking about getting a cold therapy machine but with this I am able to move around instead of being hooked to a machine. Read more

Well I got this for me post-surgery recovery. Unfortunately I didn't plan on having the abduction sling. The ice packs were still useful. They're like the perfect 20 minutes to help bring swelling down before they get warm again. Haven't tried the heat function. Now that it's 4 weeks out and I can have my sling off at home per the physician. I'm going to try it out as intended. Read more

Excellent for Shoulder Recovery This is the best item to have for a shoulder injury or surgery recovery. It comes with two inserts that slide easily into the cover, and the material is great quality. It stays dry when using with ice, which I love. I recommend keeping the packs in the fridge instead of the freezer so they stay flexible. Comfortable to wear and very effective for both ice and heat therapy. Read more

I was genuinely excited when I found this wrap because it’s one of the few that actually covers the anterior (front) part of the shoulder. After rotator cuff surgery, that’s exactly where most of my pain and inflammation are, so the design seemed perfect. Unfortunately, it’s been more frustrating than helpful for me. The biggest issue is the tiny pockets that hold the gel/ice packs. They’re open on multiple sides and way too loose. Every time I try to position the wrap on my own (which is most of the time, since I live alone), the packs slide right out before I can get the straps secured. I’ve ended up chasing gel packs around the floor more than once. It’s almost comical, except when you’re in pain and just want relief. If you have someone who can help you slide the packs in and hold everything in place while you fasten the straps, I can see it working much better. Solo use, however, is a real struggle. The coverage itself is great when everything stays put, and the material is soft, but the poor pocket design defeats the purpose for anyone who has to manage it one-handed or without assistance. I wish the pockets were deeper, had flaps, or at least some kind of closure. As it stands, I can’t reliably use it post-surgery without help, which makes it a lot less practical than I’d hoped. Bottom line: Fantastic concept and good front-shoulder coverage, but the execution needs work. Might be fine if you have a helper; not ideal for independent use during recovery. Read more

I occasionally ice different body parts due to injuries and for injury prevention. I've tried different setups for the shoulder. None of them worked well. Sometimes it's something as simple as bad velcro that won't stay in place. Others, are hard to get on without help. I originally accidentally ordered the version with built in ice packs. I returned it because the ice packs were thin, which do not to get cold enough and stay cold. This version has removable packs, and I use my own. Once you get it adjusted to you and know how to put in on, the design is perfect for shoulder icing. Because it's easy to use, I tend to do post-workout icing more regularly, which helps on recovery and ward off injuries. Couldn't ask for more. Read more

Works perfectly for shoulder replacement. My husband has large shoulders. It is the right size. Not too heavy. Also lasts long enough. But I love the fact it came with 2 ice packs. It molds perfectly over his shoulder, even if I don't hook up the strap. One is always ready to go. This one is a 5 Star. Read more

First use was aliitle cumbersome. However I think after using it a couple of times that would not be a problem. The ice packs were definitely cold enough. It fits best to the side of the shoulder. I would suggest using a secondary smaller pack to slide into the top after you put it on. I can see that putting this on could be too difficult for someone with restricted movement in their shoulders, they would probably need assistance. Read more
