I spent a long time researching desks and this one ended up being the perfect blend of style and functionality for me. I needed something that has good storage but also works for multiple monitors. So far, I've been more than pleased with the quality of the drawers, the space for my legs (i'm 6 ft tall) and the overall sturdiness of the desk. It did take me about 5 hours to assemble, but I was taking my time to ensure it was done correctly. Not complicated, just time consuming imo. Love it. It’s aesthetically pleasing to look at and the desktop space is perfect. It’s sturdy and durable, kinda heavy. I would’ve given it 5 stars but it doesn’t have a built in outlet source which was a bummer (I was aware of that before I purchased it) Assembly wasn’t hard at all. I did it by myself and I’m not handy at all. It did take me about 3 or 4 hours to assemble it but everything went right into place. All the screw holes and boards lined up perfectly. I did have difficulty getting the filing cabinet drawer to slide in the desk after it was all assembled. It’s tricky. I ultimately gave up and let my husband put it in for me and he did it was ease. This is a great office desk. It looks executive but the assembly almost made me cry so I hired a pro on Thumbtack who helped me put it together in less than an hour. My only complaint is that it leaves finger stains which is quite unattractive so you’d have to clean it often. It is very heavy and sturdy and has plenty of storage place. I was nervous to buy a desk from Amazon - especially since a couple reviews said that pieces were damaged during shipping - but this one arrived in great condition. There were a couple little scratches on an edge or two, but those were hidden after assembly. You WILL need a second person to put this desk together. It took two of us an entire afternoon; you will have to lower the top of the desk down onto the assembled legs/cabinets, and I couldn't have done that alone. It can be assembled with a regular Phillips head screwdriver, but I recommend a drill to save time and energy. The hardest part to assemble for me was the bottom drawer; it was very hard to figure out how the side tracks work, but we eventually got it. All the pieces were very well labeled. The size is great. I regret every second and every dollar spent on this YOMILUVE Computer Desk with 3 Drawers & Storage Shelves. What a complete waste – advertised as a "sturdy executive desk" with "high quality" materials, but it's the flimsiest, most poorly made piece of furniture I've ever assembled. First, the "high quality MDF board" is a joke. It's so thin and brittle that several panels arrived already cracked or chipped right out of the box. The edges look like they were cut with a dull butter knife – splintery, uneven, and covered in rough patches that snag your clothes and hands. One of the drawer fronts literally split when I tried to tighten a screw (which stripped instantly because the pre-drilled holes are misaligned and too shallow). Assembly was a nightmare. The instructions are clear enough if you ignore the fact that half the cam locks don't fit properly, the wooden dowels are too loose, and the metal hardware feels like it came from a dollar store toy set. It took me over 4 hours of swearing and re-drilling holes myself just to get it semi-standing. The drawers? They bind constantly, wobble side to side, and one won't even close all the way because the runners are cheap plastic that bent during shipping. Within two weeks of light use (just my monitor, keyboard, and some papers), the whole thing started sagging in the middle. The long monitor stand/printer shelf is so weak it bows under the weight of a basic 24-inch monitor – forget putting a printer up there unless you want it crashing down. The storage shelves inside the cabinet feel like they're made of poster board; one shelf cracked when I put a couple of notebooks on it. The finish is already peeling and scratching from normal use – looks terrible after barely any time. And the smell? That overpowering cheap particle-board chemical stench lingered in my office for days. Save your money and sanity. This desk is not "durable & sturdy" – it's a hazard waiting to collapse. I wouldn't trust it to hold a stack of printer paper without wobbling. Returning it was the only smart decision I made after buying this garbage. Avoid YOMILUVE desks at all costs – there are much better options even in the budget range. Would NOT recommend to anyone. 0/10 if I could. Read more
