This knife is so sharp I cut the entire tip of my thumb clean off before even noticing. I have the pictures to prove it as well. Bottom line is this is an amazingly sharp knife perfect for cutting ANYTHING. Even the Dr stitching my finger back together said he needs to go get some Coolina knives because he had never seen a cleaner cut. Good knife so far, but not great. 4 stars because blackening on spine of knife tends to rub off and the knife design is really taller than it needs to be for practicle daily use and chopping. It is heavy duty but think I prefer stainless to carbon steel. Got on sale on Amazon at much better price than vendor website . Read more

I finally tried this knife and was sorely disappointed to say the least! I had some thick carrots to chop and the knife was so dull it wouldn't chop the carrots! It was like trying to push a dull blade through a piece of wood! Is this knife part of a scam or something??? As a kitchen knife, it is a huge fail... and I bought it to use for heavy-duty kitchen chopping. I won't be ordering more of these knives, that's for sure! Read more
