I have 3 of these units in my home. When the power from PSE fails due to a problem causing an Outtage for our area they keep us warm. The lights in our home stay on we have hot water and our entertainment center is operational during our sometimes 3 day PSE power outtage. These units draw very little power when they heat or cool. My 50 amp Westinghouse Generator can power everything in my home thanks to the low Amp draw from these CostWay 15,000 btu Heat Pumps. I bought this to try to keep our entire garage space cooler, and I am very happy with the results. The set up was super easy basically just take it out of the box and it comes with everything it needs. It also includes a heat feature which you don’t see all the time. The media could not be loaded. This unit is so worth it considering it both heats and cools. It’s super quiet and is just like the name brand ones that are almost double the price. First, the item shows up with a broken window kit. So that delayed getting the unit going. Once I did receive the kit, the remote wasn’t responding anymore. What’s worse, now that I’ve waited 5 extra days for the window assembly kut to arrive, the machine blows air. The 300 sq ft room stayed at 81 degrees for over an hour before I gave up and went to a box fan for better circulation. To top it off, customer service says I need a pipe that draws hot air into the unit from outside, to make cold air. When I tell them all pieces are present, they insist now they didn’t send enough parts. First, the product description speaks nothing of drawing air in, second, it only describes an exhaust system. Needless to say I’m disappointed that my intelligence has been insulted at this point with back and forth needless customer service emails. STAY AWAY! Read more
