This is exactly what I was needing! You can’t beat the quality for the price. This adds a cute pop of color to my porch and ties in the rainbow prayer flags nicely. It was a little misshapen when I first opened it, but it’s flattened out nicely over the last few days. Easier to keep clean than I was expecting. Sweeps off well. We have just opened this rug and put it down today. I was surprised that it is made from cotton as well as jute, but the pattern, and the colors, are truly wonderful. We have the rug on the floor in our painting studio and it immediately began to draw out some of the more vibrant colors in my partner's oil paintings. It is a beautiful handmade object. The only caveat is that it is not woven completely flat; like it is 90% rug and 10% sombrero. I know that sounds pretty negative, but the colors and the originality of this piece combined with the fact that it is an all natural handmade piece at an affordable price have compelled me to write a review. I am absolutely in love with the 4ft round rug. I put it in our small entryway. We don't get a ton of foot traffic through our front door so I won't be able to determine if it handles heavy foot traffic from outdoors, but we do have 3 large dogs and 3 rambunctious kids! My toddler immediately brought a toy over to it and started playing while on it, even laying down at one point. My preschooler loved the circular pattern and also played with toys on it. Our Great Dane curled up and took a nap on it already. I can't stop smiling at it every time I see it! I've never had a colorful rug before and I was nervous because of it, but the jute/natural color balances it out perfectly. I was a little concerned because when I rolled it out, it was bubbling up in places, but I just walked all over it and they went away quickly. As I was throwing out the packaging, I saw a note about getting those "bubbles" out by rolling and unrolling it in the opposite direction it was rolled in for shipping, but I missed those instructions in my excitement over getting the pretty rug on the floor and ditching my boring, single colored rug! It was very protected during Shipping - it was in a clear plastic wrap, then a another wrapping secured with strong tape, and THEN inside a sturdy box. You DEFINITELY need something grippy underneath as it is very slippery underfoot. A rug pad could be used, but I don't think it's necessary unless you really want that extra cushiness. I am strongly considering the largest round for my living room now and I will probably also get a rug pad for it or cut my existing rug pad to fit. I am impressed with the texture. I thought it would be a lot less soft than it is because it's just, but it's actually quite nice. Not something I'd want to lay my face on for a nap and it's not soft like a carpeted style rug by any means, but I've had less soft regular rugs that are nowhere near as cute!! Read more

I ordered the 8 ft round rug to pull our living room together and was not at all disappointed! Our living room is open to the dining and kitchen spaces and is a fairly small footprint itself (something like 13' x 12') and this rug fits very nicely to define the living room vs dining space. It took a couple of weeks for shipping but we knew that ahead of time so not an issue at all. The rug is heavy and well made. We have 4 kids and 3 dogs in our house so it gets a lot of rough traffic and is holding up beautifully. Our 165# English Mastiff spends most of her day lounging on it and will lay sideways and slide her feet/nails across it repeatedly but we've seen no signs of wear or tear even from that yet! The feel of the rug feels comparable to that of a low, dense carpet to me. The jute braided between the cotton rows gives it a nice balance of sturdiness/stability and softness. The thickness is perfect for comfort without being a tripping hazard and the edges have also stayed nicely flat for us. We love all of the variations and bright colors. For cleaning we use our vacuum on the "high carpet" setting so the spinner doesn't catch any of the rug fibers or snag them. It is a bit tricky to scrub or really *clean* if something spills on it because of all the little grooves and ridges between the braids. We just try to avoid foods/drinks on it so we don't have to worry about that. I love that it's reversible and both sides look the same so if you need a clean-looking rug on short notice you can just flip it over. 😄 We did notice that when you first lay it out or if you try to slide it across the floor you'll get sort of bubbles in it but they aren't stretched spots or anything, just step on them and it smooths right back out! It is heavy enough on its own that it stays in place on our wood flooring and we haven't needed any sort of mat underneath it to hold it in place.
