This rice cooker doesn’t cook rice—it incinerates it. I set it to “white rice,” and it activated what I can only assume was the “surface of the sun” setting. The bottom layer fused into a carbon disc suitable for industrial filtration, while the top grains remained emotionally unprepared for adulthood. The nonstick coating? Oh, you mean the decorative glitter that vanished after its first encounter with water. I wasn’t even scrubbing—just looking at it sternly—and it peeled off like it owed me money. Steam vent? More like a geyser. I had to relocate it to the garage for fear of triggering my smoke alarm or summoning a fire elemental. The “keep warm” function is a slow, passive-aggressive boil that seems to resent the rice for existing. Build quality? If you told me this was assembled by raccoons in a hurry, I’d apologize to the raccoons. Buttons feel like they were borrowed from a 1997 calculator, and the manual reads like it was translated by someone who’s never met rice.
