I bought this for a Europe trip so I can don it on in churches that don't allow shorts or skirts to be worn. It was light and airy but it indeed was see-through, so your underwear would show. Not too big of a deal because I was wearing shorts underneath. I am a size 8, hourglass figure, and it wasn't super flattering on me. I'm also 5'8" and the pants ran about an inch too short.
