I have osteoarthritis in my thumb that is down to bone on bone. This splint is fantastic - it keeps my thumb nice & sturdy and pain free. It is very easy to put and extremely comfortable to wear. The wrist strap is neoprene that I find to be very comfortable. It measures 12" long with Velcro closure for adjustability. It also comes in several colors. One feature that I especially like is the splint that can be removed if you require less structure. There is also a Velcro strap that goes around your thumb for additional support. I’m double-jointed in my thumbs and recently sprained my right one, so I needed a brace to stabilize the base joint. This one is very supportive and does exactly what I needed. It’s comfortable, breathable, and I honestly forget I’m wearing it sometimes. It’s also surprisingly cute for a medical brace. My only note is to make sure you position it correctly and secure it at the base of your thumb. When I had it sitting too high it didn’t give me the support I needed. I jammed my thumb overnight somehow. Woke up in the morning and couldn't use my left thumb and it was horribly swollen. So I wrapped it with black athletic tape to try and stabilize it. That didn't stabilize it enough. So I purchased this thumb support and it was delivered overnight! It did a great job stabilizing my thumb! In the photos you can see I still have the black athletic tape still on. The thumb support was very good in helping to stabilize from the thumb to the wrist. It feels like there is an aluminum flat rod on the inside and it is well padded. You can gently bend the rod to match the conformity of your thumb angle. It has an adjustable velcro wrist wrap and a thumb wrap. I got immediate relief! Even though my hands are medium to small compared to most people, this thumb support will support much larger hands. There is plenty of expandable room on the straps. It did a great job for me! It is comfortable to sleep with as well and does not interfere. I got a great night's sleep and with this stabilizer, my thumb joint started healing immediately. This is a great buy on Amazon considering these things cost at least doubling regular stores! Works pretty well for tendonitis. However there are some design issues. For example, the plastic insert is removable but the Velcro meant to keep it in place is poorly placed which makes the rough part hang loose. This rough Velcro gets caught in clothes and irritates the skin. Read more

My orthopedist office ran out of splints for my thumb, so I had to find one for myself. This one is not only pretty but keeps my thumb splinted so as not to irritate my arthritis. How much better than an ugly grey or black one!!! Read more
