I have lost the natural curvature of my spine and have bone spurs that cause a crunching sound when I turn my neck. Because of my neck pain and stiffness I’ve been looking a better pillow to provide me neck support. I came across this pillow. I am typically a side sleeper, but wanted to try and convert to sleeping on my back. I purchased his pillow to help with that but also because it was supposed to be adaptive to side and stomach sleepers. The pillow works well is soft enough and slightly firm. My preference would be for it to be firmer, a little thicker, longer and wider. The lip on one side is smaller the the one on the other side so people can use the height they prefer. Allowing for an insert so people can remove or add height and/ or firmness would be nice. I do like the pillow and sleep better with it with more comfort and less stiffness in my neck upon awakening. It does look weird in a made bed. Pillowcase fits it weird. I think it is worth the money and the quality seems good. I hope it holds up overtime. Read more

I was having neck and shoulder pain which led me to look for an orthopedic pillow and I landed on this one. I does take some getting used to but I can honestly say that after a few nights my pain went away. This pillow has been a game changer. The only thing I would change is that I wish it was more adjustable in height with an insert. Sometimes it feels too high and I wish it could be a little bit lower. I have a herniated disc in my neck so, over time, as part of my physical therapy, I learned to create a pillow that cradled my head and held it in place. I purchased a memory foam pillow that allowed me to remove part of the foam and create a contoured area in the middle to support my head and neck. There was only one recurrent problem - heat. I usually begin sleep on my side and end up on my back come morning. I found myself waking up many times during the night with discomfort in my ear due to a lack of air circulation and heating of my ear canal. So, I wondered: is there a product that would provide exactly the support I needed but also allowed cooling and air circulation around my ear when sleeping on my side. I decided to take a chance on this product. My first impressions were that it was too small (not wide enough) and too firm (I was used to a very soft memory foam pillow). But, I realized I needed to give this more than one night's sleep for proper testing. That made all the difference. This pillow is designed with a small hole in the middle that promotes air circulation that works perfectly. I now have no heat related issues and I am not waking up multiple times during the night. As for the firmness: I find that as I fall asleep my head does settle in nicely but not without sacrificing the contours that hold my head and neck in the correct positions. This is truly a good fit for my head and neck. As you can see in the product pictures, it also accommodates arm and shoulder placement for side sleepers. Did I mention that it is cool? Yep. No overheating issues and great support. Now, I am totally satisfied with the product. I am very pleased with the head and neck support and the price was right as well. There has been no issue with any chemical smells. I was able to use this right out of the box after it arrived. The cover zips off easily as well so machine washing should be straight forward. I bought the older model of this pillow a while ago. I liked it quite a bit, but after reviewing the new version, I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did! This pillow has the same level of support, but is by far softer, more comfortable, and a lot more cooling than the previous version. For someone who sleeps hot, it's nice to finally find something that lives up to it's claim. I highly recommend it! Read more

I find this pillow comfortable only if you don't move. I personally have found that if you don't stay in the optimal position on the pillow, it can actually be uncomfortable and leaves my neck sore. If you are a person that doesn't move during sleep, this pillow will probably serve you well. If you are like me and move a lot during sleep, a different type/shape will work much better. I have a bamboo pillow coming now. I am mostly a side sleeper with some occasional back sleeping for reference. Can't complain about quality. The pillow feels well made. My rating is not a statement of the product's construction quality but more of a statement of how it will work for someone like me with sleep patterns I stated above. Read more

Since this pillow is different and I was looking for something unique, I took a chance that this would be that pillow! It has been what I needed and have enjoyed sleeping on it these past weeks. It's firm, yet comfortable. Turn it around and it has another feel to the head and shoulder. I would buy again and I would recommend to a friend. Read more
