The lights look and the flaming movement looks good. However, after using the lights outdoors for the last few years in a lamppost which is safe from rain and snow, they become brittle. I went to remove the bulb from the fixture as I was installing a new electric eye and the light house which is plastic literally crumbled in my hand. So, it is still sitting the lamppost, the led's are mounted in a paper like material and it is still working. For something that is cheaply made this sez a lot about the light. If you ever need to replace the bulb after being outside for any length of time, be careful removing it. Once it warms up, I will remove and put in the spare one. Read more

These bulbs had a lot of thought put into them. The Flickering cycle is spot on. If you watch them for a few moments, you cannot see the cycle loop. I put them in 2 table lamps that were a bit too bright with 40W frosted bulbs for watching TV. They give the room a great feeling of actual fire lamps of old. However, I do wish they were half again brighter. They put on a great show but are equivalent to a 3 flame candle, through the shade. I may move them to the outside coach lamps on the garage, or add another lamp or two to the family room, or both. Love the bulbs, wish they were half again brighter. Great ambience to the room. Swapped one of these out in my front porch light for Halloween and thought my house caught fire. The neighbors ran over to check on us with buckets full of water from the creek. Was crazy. But really, worked really neat to give a flickering flame look. Still a bit awkward and obviously fake/LED vs. true fire. No one will get confused.
