Perfect. I have other crock pots but now that there is just one of me most the times, they are way to big. This one has the ceramic bowl inside like the big ones. It would feed 4 servings. Two if hungry men. BUT is perfect to have a meal for today, tomorrow, and I can freeze two servings for another time. Any smaller and I couldn't get my veggies in it. so works great. is odd because it has NO settings. you just plug in and cuts on. However cooked first a roast beef in it and cooked it perfectly. Did take hours just like the bigger ones. Maybe a little less time since its smaller. Sure was good! The only bad part of this is you can not put settings on JUST simmer to let it stay in pot all night. it just keeps cooking. that's the negative to it. Read more

This is a simple crockpot that gets the job done. I have used it for months, even made lasagna in it. It's good for one person. You'll have leftovers too. Or two people, with no leftovers. Read more

I really like this mini slow cooker. It melts cheese well, which is what I needed it for--gameday cheese dip! The quality is good, and it doesn't take up much space. The price was reasonable, and it looks nice. My only dislike is there is no way to turn down the temperature, so the cheese dip cannot be left out for hours, which makes an all day game watch party a challenge when we love snacking on cheese dip all day. Not what it used to be. Bought bc heard CP going out of biz & I love the durability of their products. But this one heats up on the outside- is a very thin metal shell. the interior ceramic is nice & removable for easy wash with glass lid (all positives) but I did not like that it has no knob/temp control- 1 setting only. I also did not like how hot the thin metal shell gets. I'm going to try to find an older model on ebay as I read the older models dont do that. They were made better in the past. Sad to see a trusted company cutting corners on foreign production. Read more

A true classic, my fourth copy. No bells, no whistles... beautiful simplicity. Try cooking brown rice after you buy this one. Slow, but perfect every time. Follow package directions for amounts of rice and water, add water one ounce at a time if the rice dries before it is tender. You can hear it beginning to sizzle when the water runs low. No stirring, no more pasty mush, just beautiful separate fluffy grains. I have three Crock-Pots, a larger one with temperature control, and two like this. I rarely use a range top stove. The newest small one is a rice cooker, no scratches. The older small one is a bean cooker and does the other things that make a Crock-Pot stain and boil over. The oldest holds four quarts of water, has high low off switch, weighs a ton (a good thing), roasts meats, big batches of home-made soup or chili in one cooker (start with the things that must cook longest, adding ingredients according to cooking time), hot dogs and sausages in a single layer finish beautifully in it, and, yes, oatmeal, too. I read reviews, all three of my beloved cookers are too fast for the overnight oatmeal preparation(s) that I just learned, sounds yummy. Now, I need a fourth Crock-Pot for cereal! I conserve water and energy cooking this way when it is appropriate. I have several pans for use with my gas range and oven as well. I am polishing my pasta preparation, looking for the right amount of expensive bottled water to cook pasta, using olive oil to keep it from fusing to the larger Pot. I quit using our newly famous municipal water to prepare foods. Wishing to cook everything so it draws raves will require tools. Covered glass ware is crucial for microwave cooking. Crock -Pot is one very good way to cook some foods. I will edit this review if I solve the pasta riddle. Thank you Crock-Pot for decades of good eating. Please make us a really nice ceramic coated electric skillet! Read more
