Take the guess out of cooking rice.

MedDecember 25, 2025

This rice cooker takes the guess out of cooking. It cooks to perfection. I come from a family of rice growers/cookers, so rice is our thing. Just got it 2 weeks ago, but boy oh boy, it’s a masterpiece. Read more

Best Rice Ever

CustomerOctober 8, 2025

This rice maker makes the best rice I've ever had. It's absolutely worth the purchase. It's a bit more complicated than my old, basic rice cooker (on/off) but worth figuring out. It's easy to clean and looks really nice on the counter. It has a turbo mode that lets you make rice super fast and lots of different settings even though we usually just make basic or sticky rice. Reliable and efficient

Say goodbye to your instapot after meeting Cuckoo rice cooker. It cooks very efficiently and evenly using induction heating system and also it is pretty easy to use. 1. This thing talks to you so make sure you are choosing correct option. You will also hear bird chirping. No more of that mechanical beeping sound. 2. It looks nice. It's like a Lamborghini of rice cooker instead of another junk that's taking your countertop space. 3. Easy to clean. Self clean function is pretty nice to use. It is also easy to disassemble inner parts so you can clean thoroughly. 4. Most importantly, it cooks the best rice. I usually use finger method to measure rice and water, but if you need help, it comes with a measuring cup for rice and water line within the pot so you can make the best rice. If you want drier or wetter rice, remove or add more water from there. Read more

It makes rices more sticky

jeremy allen leeJuly 28, 2025

As a asian , rice is so important daily. Rice has to be soft and sticky. I have been used tiger and japanese rice cooker, but it’s the best rice cooker . Pros: cook rice 30 mins, rice comes out sticky like asian way even regular rice. You keep in refrigerator couple days and warm them up , but it’s still sticky. Also, others options to cook. Cons : too pricy, the pressure cooker makes loud noise and a lot of smokes comes out before it’s completely cooked Read more

My cooker doesn't have a low pressure setting.

EveJuly 21, 2024

Pretty nice cooker, but I am disappointed is doesn't have a low pressure setting. The image on this listing and the instructions in the manual imply this cooker does low pressure cooking, but it doesn't. My husband is Indian and we wanted a cooker that could make Basmati rice in addition to short grain rice. Very disappointed! However, it does make yummy short grain rice, so if that is your thing then it shouldn't be a problem. Read more

Meh

I have a LOT of rice cookers. All high end, but you know how it is….despite having perfectly fine rice cookers, you always fantasize about the “Cadillac” of rice cookers and wonder if the rice you make could be even better. Well…..sigh. First of all there are few recipes internet-wide for this model. Secondly, despite being highly educated and many hours spent re-reading the manual…..it’s like a wispy cloud being pushed across the sky by the wind. In other words…..it’s beautiful but I can’t make heads or tails of the manual or even the measuring marks on the inside of the pot. I am disgruntled. Every bowl of rice I have made so far is over cooked or undercooked. I thought finally having an end all to end all GABA rice menu would be like dying and going to heaven. I used the high pressure and it turned out like mush. I used just the regular setting, having soaked the GABA overnight….and it was hard and dry. Right now it’s sitting on the counter mocking me…unused, as I went back to using my Sakura and my Vita Clay rice cooker……unless you are a rocket scientist, or you can afford to waste extremely expensive high end Japanese rice, which I can’t, think carefully before purchasing. My Yum Yum Asia Sakura, as it turns out, is a really good, easy to use rice cooker…..My Vitaclay remains my favorite as I can watch over the rice cooking and stop cooking when it’s reached the perfect texture for whatever recipe I am making. Sometimes in life, you don’t really need the Cadillac. This costs a pretty penny…..the penny is a shiny bauble that is now a paperweight. It’s beautiful to look at, it’s made like a tank……but….. Update: returned. It doesn’t do anything a normal rice cooker or IP can’t. All these useless features like it talks to you? Nope. Read more

Speaks several languages

My wife is Korean and she just had to have this rice cooker. We've been using cheap rice cookers for the 42 years that we've been married, so I figured that she deserved a good one. This rice cooker makes great rice quickly and is also able to keep rice warms for a long time. We've had rice that came from this rice cooker 24 hours after being cooked and still very good. It has a digital display that shows how long it's been in the warm setting. I sort of made fun of the name Cuckoo, this sort of upset the wife, because she's proud of Korean products. I didn't realize that it spoke at all until it spoke to me in Korean (Hangul). Of course I had no idea of what it was saying. Read more
