This hair curling iron heats up quickly. It effectively curls my hair. This has a large barrel that allows me to achieve loose curls. The media could not be loaded. I ordered this Phizli professional curling iron in the 1-inch barrel size to try out. The curling iron heats up quickly and works well. The extra long barrel is helpful for longer hair, but I did not find it too be too long to easily maneuver on shorter hair. I have fine hair and the curling iron did not snag it or make it feel dry. The curls came out looking smooth and shiny, even at 400F. I found the clamp easy to use and it had a good grip on hair without being overly tight. The curling iron has a screen to indicate the temperature in increments of 10F. This is great if you have an exact temperature you prefer to use and is more precise than many other curling irons on the market at this price. The controls are easy to use and intuitive, and the screen helps you make sure you’re at the temperature you want to be.I couldn’t figure out if there is a way to tell if the iron has reached the desired temperature, but it did seem to heat up quickly. The listing says 45 seconds, so about the amount of time it takes to comb through and section your hair. The swivel cord seemed sturdy, but is just over 6 feet long, which likely wouldn’t work in a salon. It has a hanging hook, which is handy.
