Arrived in good condition and so far works perfectly. Delivery was delayed by one day because of the incompetence of my local mail service. I bought this microwave, as others have described, to replace a 13 year old Dacor that had not really died but had lost the electronic screen. We put magic marker numbers on the display screen where the numbers had been 5 years ago and kept using all the functions. I decided to replace as, without the display screen, I could not do anything semi sophisticated with this microwave but its motor and microwave capacity was still going strong. This model fits perfectly into the previous 24/27 trim kit. Unfortunately our other trim kit is white to match our old microwave. Decor only has stainless steel now. And the new trim kit for this microwave is flat without the vent slats (plus costs over $300!). From the placement in our cabinet, I think the vented slats are really important to dissipate heat and am puzzled by the change in design by Dacor. The slats are a little tedious to clean but as a TV is above the microwave and an oven below I want the heat to have a better place to go. Ebay has the old trim kit in stainless steel but so far the expense seems excessive for just the outside piece. The internal support bracket for the new microwave is exactly the same as for the previous model so the only part of the trim kit needed for my microwave is the outside frame. Bought this to replace a 19 year old Dacor microwave that failed to heat intermittently and ultimately tripped the breaker. Went with same brand so it would match Dacor oven and warming drawer. My local appliance dealership who has sold us all our appliances for 40 years could not get a replacement from their suppliers for 4-6 months. After seeing this seller on Amazon the local appliance salesman urged me to buy it through Amazon. The product arrived in a factory sealed box in good condition and was packaged like it came fresh from the factory two days after ordering it. The oven installed easily and so far has worked satisfactorily. Mailed in the warranty documentation promptly as per their user manual. USPS returned the envelope after two weeks as “undeliverable.” Called Dacor customer support and was told to email them the documentation. After emailing them the warranty registration form and the Amazon purchase receipt Dacor said they could not warrant it without knowing the vendor name, so I looked up that information and emailed it to the Dacor “Customer Satisfaction” representative. The response was that Dacor cannot warrant my oven because Home Super Center “is not an authorized dealer of Dacor.” This is terrible customer service and a good reason to avoid Dacor appliances in general and this vendor in particular. The media could not be loaded. The door locks after the cooking cycle is started. You will not be able to open the door until you press the “Unlock Door” button. You can bypass the door locking feature by pressing the “Setup” button in the top right corner, and select Child Safety Bypass. I replaced four of the same model before, and none of those had this feature. Therefore I didn’t read the manual. The Dacor DMW2420S 24" microwave is a very good machine. We have had this model since 2005. There have been a few things over the years that needed repair, like the sensor for the door, that we had to replace 2x, or it would not work. When the machine finally wouldn't work at all. The quest for a new machine was on. Lets face it there are a lot of options out there. (All of which might or might not fit in the 'built-in' space we have). Finding a new machine that fit this space and having to purchase a new kit to go with it became daunting. And then I saw that Decor had the same model available in the same dimensions. Whats not to like? I ordered it immediately and received it a few days later. Hallelujah, it fits! While the machine is virtually the same size (The good) The machine is also virtually the same machine as it was many, many years ago. Its good, but the features on it (even the digital clock) are dated. The appearance package for the controls deserves a makeover at least. IMO ;) Read more

After several months of use, the door release function begins to fail, which means that the door will not open, and there ia no way to manually open it! The Manufacturer (Décor) says I have a 2 year manufacturers warranty. HOWEVER, the “Seller’s Name” on Amazon didn’t match Décor’s authorized distributor list, so I called the name listed as “Home Supply USA”. The problem is, the Home Supply USA operates under “Appliance Palace” with Amazon, so they needed to reissue me a purchase receipt that says Appliance Palace not Home Supply USA which is pending. Moral of the Story Avoid Décor Products and Avoid Home Supply USA. Hopefully, Décor will honor my 2 year manufacturer warranty. Hopefully, Décor will honor the warranty.
