A BIG upgrade from the first game.

Awesome game. Artbook is packed with tons of content for such a small book. All the other Knick knacks are welcome bonuses too. Wish it had a figurine like the first game, but the acrylic stand is cool nonetheless. Highly recommend if you’re a fan of the first game/ a mecha enthusiast. Read more

It's just... not fun.

I tried. I really, REALLY tried, but I just couldn't do it any longer. Once I got to the part where I could drive a very, very, very, very, agile warthog lookalike or ride a horse, I was done. This is NOT your dad's Daemon X Machina. It's not YOUR Daemon X Machina. To start off with, you're no longer in mechs. Instead, you're in armor. Essentially, it functions like the mechs did at 1/6th the scale, but that makes all the difference. It's just not fun, and I really tried to give it a chance. Heck, Amazon even offered me $20 to keep it instead of returning it, but it's just not worth even $80. The powersuit thing would be fine if you didn't feel powerLESS. Every enemy is a bullet or missile sponge. You feel like you're chipping away at a mountain with a chisel. The open world feels lifeless. There are some bases to raid, minerals to mine, but overall, just sterile. Rinse and repeat over and over again. A port of the original game would have served the developers better, because unless it's a completely new development team, these developers forgot why we play mech games to begin with. Go buy Armored Core. Go buy the original Daemon X Machina. Go buy Titanfall 2. Heck, you can get all of them for the same price as this collector's edition. Which, I have no complaints with the CE itself. Everything is exactly as it should be. It's just the game is so mediocre and disappointing. Read more

Amazing!

Got the limited edition for PS5. Artbook is cool but wish it was hardcover, physical soundtrack is neat! The rest (acrylic display, patches, flight tag)- is nothing to really write home about. The star of the show? The game! It's akin to AC6 in one important way: environmental design is lacking but gameplay smashes it out the park. This has to be my favorite mech game? Since Zone of The Enders on ps2. I say that as a hardcore mech fan. I am absolutely in love with this game and it is a pure gem. HIGHLY reccomend to any mech fans. Especially if you like variance of activity, customization, and a solid gameplay loop (far from repetitive with all the variant activities). A++++ game that is going to be a cult classic someday, as more and more people get on board with it's existence matching up with their time to game. It truly is something very, very special. Very.
