I ordered the Dalstrong DS Phantom series set in preparation for Thanksgiving this year. Myself and 3 family members used the knives over a period of 3 days prepping the main meal and all the feedings in between. The blades came highly polished, razor sharp, very well constructed and have performed flawlessly. The DS magnetic holder is well constructed and has a very strong magnetic grip (you need to pivot the handles to the small edge of the blade to remove). The holder has the capacity for additional knives to expand the set. The only drawback (for me) is the DS has a tall profile and barely fits under my cabinets. In my case an angled magnetic holder would have worked better, but is a minor detail. The blades came highly polished, razor sharp, very well constructed and have performed flawlessly. I bought this knife set in August 2019 for an Anniversary present. These knives have seen countless hours of use in the kitchen. I've received many compliments from friends and family about how they look/feel(balance)/sharpness. The magnetic holder is great to use, but does get scuffed up from the blades over time. There's a knife for every type of chef. My wife likes to use the two smaller knives, while I traditionally use the chef's knife. Recently, I noticed the laminated wood handle starting to separate down the seam of my fave chef knife, but thanks to Dalstrong's customer service and limited lifetime warranty, I was able to get this knife replaced no charge! I was recommended Dalstrong by a co-worker in the Navy and after 2 years of ownership, I recommend Dalstrong to anyone above all other products due to their value/quality/aesthetic. Read more

Purchased 5 sets of these for the family. We had one break while cutting vegetables and they replaced it promptly. Had another one do the same thing and was told it was a misuse issue. Literally cutting vegetables again with the knife. Disappointing given I provided all the receipts and photos of the knives. Don’t count on their warranty promises. Read more

I think my favorite 2018 Christmas present might be surprising to some. I received a beautiful complement of DALSTRONG knives. I’ve waited this long to talk about them because I want to make sure it was love and not infatuation. It is true love! They are truly pieces of art. Functional to say the least. They are beautiful to look at and they work effortlessly gliding through anything I need to slice or dice or carve. The blades are razor sharp, highly polished, and very very well made. The stand is unusual and beautiful while remaining fully functional. Each knife has a nice heft and is well balanced. I love that this company is proud of its product and stands behind each piece. This knife brand is awesome, bought this set to gift my husband. We have had it for about 5 months now. Was very happy with the set out of the box but the holder leaves something to be desired. The magnets are strong and hold the knives well but the individual slats aren’t sturdy, they scratch very easily! Beware you may need to buy a new holder in less than a year. Read more

I was super disappointed after the first couple scratches on this knife block... and I read the directions about how to load/unload knives from it but it's just inevitable and now I just own that it is part of the deal. That said the knife block is stunning and artistic and makes such a statement next to our amazing Dacor range. The knives are really really sharp and very well balanced/ quality handles/ look great. I only allow people to use them on wood cutting boards which means most ppl in my home don't use them, just my husband and I which is fine by me. One more thing, the magnetic knife block holds more knives that are in this set, and so we were able to add a couple of japanese steel blades that we had purchased without a knife block to the display. We've had these 6 months now and get daily use. We hand wash and dry immediately after use and they all are in fantastic shape and still razor sharp. I use a honing steel to maintain the edge and have not needed to touch up on a wet stone yet. If you are a "toss em in the dishwasher" type, these are not for you. Be sure you hold them correctly so you dont get cut by the blade near the handle end. We find they are very well balanced. I anticipate keeping these for decades. Read more

These knives are really a showpiece. I have used the knives sparingly and they are sharp. I have put them on the block for sharpening once and they hone well. If you have the cash to spend and like nice-looking blades, you should pull the trigger. Read more
