Can't beat a well- made-in-the-USA sock. Although "ultra light-weight", this is a very comfortable no-show sock. My feet stay warm, but never overheat. Darn Tough socks are easy care and last FOREVER. I've had several pair for well over 5 years and they still haven't thinned and still have elasticity. Quality USA product worth every penny. Read more

I always get holes in my socks at the ball of my feet after wearing a pair of socks for a few days. Bought these because I knew I was going to be having knee surgery and wouldn’t be able to change my socks as easily or as often and I have had absolutely ZERO issues. 100% worth the price. Great quality, keeps my feet cool, doesn’t make my feet stink. Only negative thing would be to wash them inside out before first use so you don’t get fuzz between your toes or caught on the corners of toenails. If I could, I would 100% replace every pair of socks I own with this brand. Colors are also vibrant! Read more

I should have bought these sooner. I thought expensive socks were a pointless splurge. Mediocre socks that loosened over a few months were the norm for me, for sports and for everyday wear. I have socks I've been wearing for fifteen years, stretched and thinned. 'Cuz I'm "frugal." Then I moved to Vermont, where everyone was like, "look at my Darn Tough socks," "my whole family loves these socks," and "which Darn Tough styles do you have?" I was out of the loop—the social loop and the darned loop. My housemate finally took pity on me with a gift of Darn Tough hiking socks. Friends, I tell you, my life changed that day. I'm now working my way through all the old socks I own, replacing them one at a time with seriously the best brand of socks ever to hug my feet. My outdoor set is complete (even though I am holding on to a few "other brand" hiking socks that have been good to me). This week, I moved on to my trail running socks. Foolishly, my expectations were low: Even athletic brands' no-show socks either cut into the ankle in order to stay up or just give up the effort entirely by ducking and hiding below the heel during a long run. But again, I was plain wrong. The Darn Tough style 1047 (no-show ultra-lightweight cushion run) socks are rocking my full runs right they're supposed to, comfortably hugging my heels, ankles, arches, pads, and toes. And I find them perfectly airy in the high eighties weather we've been having in my new location. I've moved away from chilly Vermont and sadly no longer encounter routine conversations about Darn Tough socks in farmers markets, at work, outside co-ops, inside living rooms, and on the streets at large. At least I can look forward to wearing out my other socks so I can replace them with more of these. Read more

The black colored socks as well as the orange tipped colored socks keep feet cool. The black do not seem to keep feet completely dry with extensive exercise and the fabric is more dense, fit tighter. The orange tipped design socks are more comfortable, not as tight with a smoother fabric. They also seem to keep feet more dry. This brand of socks are high priced but I will pay it in hopes for a more durable, long lasting, better performance sock as is claimed by the merchant. So far they wash and wear well. Read more
