CAREFUL! I bought this Dell laptop on Amazon on February 24, 2025, and received it just a few days later. So far, I’m impressed with the performance—the computer runs fast, the touchscreen is responsive, and the overall build feels sturdy. The sound is decent too, especially after a full round of updates (which took almost a full day to complete when I first set it up). However, I’m writing this review to share something important that buyers should know. When I checked the warranty on March 4, I found that there were less than six months remaining—even though I had just bought the device. After contacting Dell, I learned that the warranty started when the third-party seller originally purchased the laptop, not when I did. So, even though this was a new, unopened product, the warranty had already been ticking down for months. This detail wasn’t clearly mentioned on the Amazon product page. I had no idea buying from a third-party seller on Amazon could mean getting a product with an almost expired warranty. In my opinion, this should be more transparent. It’s something I definitely wish I had known ahead of time. Other notes: the battery life is on the shorter side, and the fans are constantly running—so it’s not the quietest laptop out there. But in terms of speed and features, it’s a solid machine. The touchscreen is smooth and responsive, and everything else feels like good quality. As a computer science major it has definately satasfied my needs so far, and this is 6 months after purchasing it Bottom line: Great laptop, but double-check the warranty details.
