It's a fine system overall, but do not buy it expecting to upgrade RAM later. It is soldered to the motherboard. I'm suprised that Dell has done this with the Latitudes, they have done it with the cheaper laptops in the past, but the Latitudes were always fully modular for business customers. We use this for work. I've found this thing overheating and slowing to a crawl quite a lot. It also shuts down randomly, probably due to some hardware issue. I think Dell, as usual, skimped out on quality hardware, but I'm not certain. It's easy to pick up oil in the mousepad area. The back is also easy to scratch. It also isn't the easiest to type on for long typing sessions. It is compact and generally more durable than similar laptops, but is easier to scratch than it seems like it should. It wouldn't be horrible, except that it costs so much for such lacking performance. Read more
