The GOOD: The machine works well, easy to use and understand, color is gorgeous, great for a small space, delicious hot or cold drinks, great value for the price (got it on sale for $249.99). The BAD: The steaming function is so ridiculously loud and shrill that I’m actually concerned about damage to my hearing. I’ve started to wear foam ear plugs while steaming milk (I’m REALLY not exaggerating here, I promise). — You can’t steam milk while pulling espresso shots. You can only do one function at a time. — Majority of my mugs/cups do not fit under the espresso drip without removing the bottom drain piece, and the machine does not come with the espresso demitasse shot glasses — I sometimes have trouble getting the steaming function to work. I have to turn the machine off and back on to get it going. Overall, I’d say this is a great product. I’m happy with the way my drinks come out and I do not regret buying it at all. I am, however, looking forward to buying a bigger machine with more capabilities in the future. Read more

So far, so good! This machine is the best! I like the slim profile on it and that there is a cold brew option. It produces the most wonderful crema! This is why I bought it, for the crema quality! The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love this machine, but the quality and customer service were such a disappointment that I’m returning it and warning other buyers. After only a few uses, the coating on the portafilter started wiping off in gray streaks any time it touched plain water. Not hot water. Not cleaning solution. Just normal rinsing — which is something you have to do every time you use an espresso machine. This is a food-contact part, and the finish should never flake off or dissolve. It’s a legitimate safety concern. When I contacted customer service, the experience was honestly worse than the defect: • First, they claimed the part “isn’t designed to be in water,” which makes absolutely no sense for something that brews espresso. • Then they changed their story and said it should be fine in water, so I “must have done something to it.” I hadn’t — it had only sat briefly in room-temperature water. • I asked for a stainless steel replacement portafilter so this wouldn’t happen again, and they told me they would only send the same low-quality coated part (the one already peeling). • I spent 54 minutes on the phone, mostly being told it wasn’t their fault. • When I explained I had to hang up for work, they suddenly tried to keep me on the line to talk to a manager — after refusing to take responsibility the entire time. At no point did they acknowledge the safety issue or offer a real solution. This is my first espresso machine, and I didn’t expect a food-contact part to lose its finish after a simple rinse. Between the poor construction and the dismissive customer service, I can’t recommend this product. There are far better options from brands that actually stand behind their machines. Read more

I love it! I’m new to the espresso world, and I still have a lot to learn, but this machine already feels like a big step up from my Nespresso. The coffee quality is noticeably better, and for the price, the build feels solid. I’m still learning how to use it and will probably be buying a few accessories to keep improving my shots. It definitely has a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, everything becomes easier and more enjoyable. Don’t buy this if your interested in latte art—this is not its strength. After having an automatic espresso machine for years while living with my parents, I knew I couldn’t afford one when I moved out. I searched for a while for a manual espresso machine that would suit me. I was drawn to this one because of the color and the cold brew function. It took me a little to adjust to the ritual of pressing & making the espresso but I grew to love it! The color is awesome and it works great (once I learned how to make the perfect espresso). It’s durable and not too heavy. I strictly made espresso for the first 3 months of ownership and then I tried the cold brew function for the first time this month and now I pretty much only make cold brew because it’s SO GOOD. It’s been a game changer for me! Very easy to use and great value for the money spent. I think it will last me a long time! Read more

I bought this on cyber Monday so it was only $170, so for that price I think this is a great at home espresso machine if you aren't a barista or coffee expert. It makes great espresso and is very cute (I got the pink) and compact - perfect for those of us with minimal counter space. I had to take off a star though because, like other reviews, the steamer isn't great. It lets out a lot of water in the beginning, which is fine, but once it starts steaming it's not strong enough to create that thicker texture in your milk. For how loud it is, I thought it would be more powerful. I really like a frothy latte so it is frustrating. Unless you get this on a very discounted sale like I did, I don't think paying full price for this machine is worth it. Read more
