my new favorite pan. I just moved to stainless steel (one pan at a time) and am very happy. I took the time to season them (via youtube videos) and they work great - no more sticking than my "nonstick" pans and they clean up great. it is a little heavy but that is to be expected with this quality of stainless. handle stays cool. After disposing countless non-stick pans in 12 years of almost daily cooking. I would like to try stainless steel cookware. And I brought Walmart cheapest stainless steel set to try. They ended up having a terrible sticky experience. Finally, I decided to try a clad-stainless steel pan. Boy, this changes my life. It is not sticky if you do a water test before putting food in (just a tad sticky for skinless fish filet). Comparing to non-stick pans, food can be tasty even in a cheap coil electric stove. Cooking in non-stick pans starts at medium heat, food is soggy and watery. Stainless steel can start from high heat and retains the temperature, thus food retains its juice, therefore better taste. Pros: - Good non stick performance and relatively easy to clean. Due to its thickness. - No rivet (main reason I choose this over All-clad) - 5-ply: even heating and retaining heat - food is more tasty than non-stick pans - can use most spatula without thinking it will scratch the non-stick surface - looks long-lasting and bullet proof (LOL) - no need to season and oil the pan Cons: - it needs a little more care to remain shiny. - way heavier than non-stick pans. (less than a cast iron, a little more than a good carbon steel pan) - I have a bad quality coil stove, and the bottom of my pan was scratched after a months' use. Read more

This is the most consistent heating and controllable pot I have used. Its pattern of extremely even heat distribution makes it a pleasure to use and the name is respected for good reason by professional chef's. The added handle provides stability when the pot is full and heavy. This is well thought out cookware to make a chef's life easier. Read more

Handle stays cool. Easy cleaning, if food sticks, soak 15 minutes and sponge off. Bar Keeper's Friend ensures surfaces remain smooth, polished and clean of any mineral deposits so clean up is easy. Very even heating. Lid handle gets hot. Bought one for dauhgter for first child welcome gift. Second one is all mine. Welded handle instead of rivets means no grease build up around rivets ever. Braise meats then deglaze with wine, water or other edible liquids. In use for years now and looks new, cook very evenly and rapidly. My husband cooks for all seven adults (we care for five adult disabled men) and this pan or the much larger version is used at least daily. Read more

I love my Demeyere saucier, but had not gotten other pieces as they are so expensive. This Demeyere 5-Plus 3-qt Saute Pan was heavy, but I love the helper handle. It browned a piece of fish beautifully, with even heat. Clean up, of course, is harder than with nonstick cookware, but the lack of rivets in the interior helped. Read more

Sadly, grew up on non sticks like a lot of other people. Upgraded to cast iron and loved it. Have some cheap stainless and decided it was time to toss the bs non stock and get something that is for life. Lot of good brands out there. Went with this company because the lack of rivets. Beautiful pan. Works better than cheap stainless, it isn't too heavy, for me at least. Don't neg these pans because you don't know how to use stainless. Read more
