For the price, this vacuum is terrific. The suction power is STRONG. I love that you can detach the hose and wand and use the attachments to get cobwebs on the ceiling etc. I like the size of the dirt cup as well. Downsides: - The wand is short. I went onto the Dirt Devil website to order an extension wand; it was a mere $10 plus $10 in shipping (and several days' wait). Without the extension wand, you have to bend way over to use the attachments (I have textured rugs and use the wand tool on them) or are limited as to how high you can reach. Why not offer the wand as an add-on with the cord rewind version of the machine? - Mine does not easily lock into the upright position. It seems like the mechanism is defective. - Attachments fall off of the holders constantly. But, again, for the price, I find it an effective, lightweight, versatile vacuum. My mom needed a new vacuum and so I started researching immediately for the best option. I won’t buy anything that requires too much assembly by the consumer because I don’t have time for any of that and this one looked easy enough for us to handle. Also, I needed a long power cord that stretches across an entire room, which is not always available on all vacuums. This vacuum listed a long power cord in the description, which sealed the deal for me. Those were basically my main criteria right there! This machine has amazing power suction to remove all the pet hair on the carpet, along tile surfaces and furniture! The power cord is a nice long length, because I won’t purchase anything that requires me to charge or install batteries as that is a deal breaker for me! The ease of use with this vacuum works for anyone, which is great too. It took two seconds to assemble this baby because there were only a couple of main parts to click on and you are ready to roll! There are additional attachments for the hose, which are great for cleaning the drapes or car. Over all, this vacuum meets all my requirements and is easy to use. My mom loves it! She cleans a lot, way more than an average person, and it has a nice size for her to push along with no problems! Read more

Amazing what this thing can do! I had no idea my apartment was so dirty until running this bad boy throughout. The manufacturer's idea of low, medium and high carpet is a bit different than mine, but once you figure it out it's a breeze. No messy dirt or hair particles blowing around when sweeping bare floor. It’s been months since I’ve been able to deep clean my bedroom floor. I am doing it today and when I tell you this vacuum does not disappoint, it doesn’t disappoint at all! When I tell you this price is reasonable and this vacuum pulls up dog hair like none other and you see it because of the clear chamber. There’s no worry of messing with vacuum bags or ordering more or running out. It is so seamless to put it together so easily. Only 2 screws to really put it together. So you’ll need a screwdriver, that’s pretty much it. When I say this vacuum does the job! I mean it! Literally I can see very well see the difference even in the more worn parts of my carpet using this vacuum!!! And I have 4 dogs so you know dog hair is a thing, for reals! lol. Bought this bc the hose is detachable with an extension and attachments to reach further without a canister attached! Handle assembles w/2 screws and done, plug up and go. Has floor & carpet options w/high & low on each, seems to do well oh hardwoods and carpets. Overall pleased, it does feel cheap but no fragile. The dry brush stopped working not even after a year, I bought the 2 year warranty and it was nothing but a headache. Amazon doesn’t even give you the owner page to contact them. so I went and contacted dirt Devil directly and they tried to say well, Amazon‘s gotta deal with it before they can. Which you can’t get a hold of Amazon, then it’s just been nothing but jumping through hoops of sending them pictures of the vacuum, sending them the order number and then they trying to say well we can’t figure out the model number.
