Wonderful for small jobs. Lightweight, flexible for tight spots like under kitchen counters where the crumbs and dog hair goes. It rolled the dog hair into a tidy ball in the trash collector! The real thing I liked was the ability to do the dining room where there are rugs and hardwood both to deal with at the same time. It quickly did all surfaces without getting rugs stuck in the vacuum! I have an Oreck and a Bissell. They cost lots more and do a lot more, but for the price…if you needs are smal or need something easier to deal with…it is hard to beat this dirt devil! Read more

OMG! I've had the same vacuum for 30 years and always touted how good it was made. Still do, but as I've gotten older, I slowed down using it, because it was a pain lugging it out and moving it to each room to plug in there - just a real headache. Then one day, I just couldn't do it anymore, started researching and chose this one. Wow! This is changing my life. For the first time ever, I actually enjoyed vacuuming. The light is so bright, I can see every dog hair and tiny particles on my wooden floor and watch as my floor gets clean. For a while, I kept waiting for the cord to come out of the socket, til I remembered there wasn't one. Hallelujah!!!. Love that the extras have a dock, emptying is so easy, it stands up when I have to stop for something, and the top comes off to do hand vacuuming. CONS: It seems top heavy when standing, like it could topple, so I'm still a little queasy about that one. Some of the push buttons are a little hard to release and it doesn't give enough time after charging to do the whole house, and I have a small house. I can forgive the cons, as long as this thing works for years to come and they work to improve the charging time. Life changer for me! Read more

I fell for some the product reviews. The vacuum has extremely limited run time. Combined with low suction the vacuum takes forever to clean the floors. I had to make multiple passes over the same area and I still was not sure the vacuum cleaned the floor. I've purchased corded dirt devil vacuum. cleaners in the past and never had a problem. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver. It does fit under tables and chairs, but it doesn't pick up all of the dirt or pet hair. The battery life poor as well. The battery is built in to the unit, so there is no switching out one battery when the other is low. I'm planning on returning this model an d looking for a more powerful model with anadditional battery. Read more

Ok, the stand up vacuum doesn’t work great on bare floors, but when you inflict the top and just use as hand held, it sucks up any pile of j7nk. Sometimes stuff gets stuck, but just use a stick to dislodge. It’s got good power. The handheld is perfect for upstairs so you don’t have to drag the whole thing. Read more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was so hopeful this would be the holy grail of stick vacs for me. My friend bought one and said she was very pleased with it. Somehow though even buying after hers I got sent an older model. And while this isn’t a problem as it worked good it became a problem because I vacuum everyday having many many dogs and living in a dusty place and the filter becomes clogged very fast. I removed it washed it and dried. Suction went back to good. Went online to buy replacement filters and what they show is the newer model ones in a cone shape and not the round. Went onto the dirt devil website and found 3 different ones for sale that said “foam” filter but then said “this item missed its picture” so how does one know which one to pick?? Called the company and got an outsourced person of course. Explained the situation and she gave me the email address to send a pic. I did so and they responded with an item number. I entered that item number and again got a no picture listing. I wrote back and asked if they could verify because I don’t want to send 10 dollars plus shipping for the wrong part. Crickets. They haven’t answered back. So if you are to buy this brand be ready for customer service to be non existent. Read more
