I started taking these due to a combination of weak/brittle/peeling nails, and having one nail badly damaged, since collagen is supposed to improve quality/strength of hair and nails. After taking these for about a month (4 capsules/day), I have noticed my nails are definitely stronger, and my damaged nail grew back much quicker than expected. (Was told to expect up to 3 months for it to completely repair.) My nails aren't unbreakable - after all, a month isn't long enough to replace the entire nail - but there is definite improvement in thickness, color, and strength. Potential other primary benefits of Type 1 & 3 collagen are that they "may improve" - fine lines/wrinkles; improve skin elasticity, hydration, and suppleness; improve circulation; reduce appearance of cellulite. Secondary benefits "may include" decreased appetite, and clearer skin/reduction in age spots. I do feel like my circulation has improved a little, most notably, much less prone to 'tingling' in fingertips; and my facial skin looks a little clearer (although I don't notice any improvement in the fine lines by my eyes). I do have decreased appetite as well, although I don't know if that's directly due to the collagen, or because I have changed my diet in general (more protein/clean eating). I hate the taste and slimy consistency of collagen. These pills are perfect. I'm certainly not a doctor and I can't attest to what they do for my skin, nails, or hair. They do something for my eyes. I notice a difference in my eye floaters when I stop taking it. Of course, check with your doctor. Mine thinks I'm crazy when I mention it I'm sure. Anyway, the pills are fairly large but easy to take and no taste afterward. I don't purchase, then regret it and purchase again. I don't know if I can recommend a supplement but I keep buying these so there you go. Read more

I had injured my right foot, the podiatrist wanted to do surgery.NO WAY! My 2nd toe is now crossed over to my big toe. I found this collagen and started taking it and within 5 days my plantar fasciitis symptoms of pain when walk is GONE! It's still GONE because I take this collagen EVERY DAY. My husband started taking it with me and we both wake up with No stiffness No Aches No Pain anywhere. We feel more limber, flexible and no stiff feeling after sitting and getting up. I've been using this for about a month and I think it's too early for results -- but I can gladly report no side effects or problems with the safety of this supplement. In fact, I had to stop taking another popular brand of collagen because I noticed -- too late -- that the other brand contained Ashwagandha Root, which is very harmful to thyroid patients like me. So I had to stop it and search for a safer collagen supplement without harmful additions. This one is my next attempt at finding the right one. I do notice an increase in hair and nail growth -- but I am hoping to see improvements for joint pain and mobility -- as well as digestive issues. But I might need a different type of collagen. Had this big bottle sitting in my pill caddy for two-plus years. Finally decided I just wanted to use it up so the big bottle could go away (I couldn't even remember why I originally bought it). Started taking two capsules every morning when I woke up. At about the four week mark I noticed my chronic nasal congestion had really relaxed, and my constant nasal drip had 95% dried up. Thought it was just a seasonal fluke. By the two month mark I had put two-and-two together and realized it was the collagen supplement that did it. I now seem to recall I may have purchased the collagen to deal with what I suspected was leaky gut, which does cause allergy symptoms. I haven't noticed hair, nail and skin improvements per se, but that's all secondary as I can't tell you how grateful I am to not be dealing with a nose that drips 24/7. It's embarrassing and horrifically inconvenient to constantly have one hand tending the soaked tissues. I also went from using heavy dose nasal spray decongestant 3x/day, every day, to needing a light dose once every other day or so at night. Incredible. I won't be without the collagen ever again. The only improvement I could wish for is that it be sourced from grass-fed cows (yes, I'd pay more for that). Otherwise this stuff is like pure gold in a bottle! Read more
This is my go to Collagen supplement. You get a great deal for your money. The capsules are standard size capsules and easy to swallow. There is no discernible taste or odor. I haven’t noticed any negative side effects. Read more
I have not seen much of a change since I began using this. I am not pleased that we have to take 4 large capsules at a time! I will keep using it since I don't want to waste the money for the purchase but doubt I purchase again. Read more
