This is a much better version of the other e-collars due to the on and off button. It does not need to be charged as often and when it does, it does not take too much time. We bought this at the recommendation of our dog trainer. He trained her to it and it works wonderfully. She is a sensitive 25lb mini Bernie and setting it to between 19-22 is plenty. The trainer recommended 24 while she’s learning. If you don’t have a trainer to make recommendations, I would test on yourself first and start low. if your dog doesn’t feel it, you can gradually increase the intensity. Also make sure it’s connecting with the skin if it isn’t working before increasing intensity. We are very happy with it. Battery life seems fine.
