The management has been known to break and enter, busting the secondary lock to get in, can't afford to move at the moment, so went looking for lock things to keep management out when they don't give the legally required notice for peaceable entry. I don't know but it works. This Door Security Bar has an anchor foot that swivels so that it is exactly at the angle it needs to be once you adjust it to proper length. very easy to put on the Lok N Block and then the Door Security Bar. Good barricade/security bar. This bar is thicker than the others I saw at our local big name home improvement stores. Pieces are constructed cleanly and appears to be high quality iron. It is easy to assemble and simple to adjust once it is put together. I read reviews from several others who I have to assume are just extremely "Mechanically Challenged" - There are screw threads on one end of each of the bars to very effectively join sections together. (this keeps the bars from separating after assembly) Join the needed pieces together correctly and this bar will be strong and very sturdy. Initially, the base would slide just a bit on our tile floor... I shortened the bar one click and now it wedges in super tight with no movement at all. Read more

Bought 2 sets of these, and returned on of the sets. This product works well for sliding glass doors. DO NOT use this in the upright position for any other door. When we tested to see if it worked, we had someone try to open the door, and it almost broke the door knob. Buyer beware! Read more
