Customers say
Customers love the look of these knee-high boots and find them high quality, though opinions about sizing and comfort are mixed - while some say they fit perfectly with room for thick socks, others report issues with the foot area. The leather quality receives criticism, with one customer noting the material feels like wood, and the zipper quality is problematic as customers find it a struggle to use. The arch suppor

The media could not be loaded. Cute boots! I’ve now had these for a few months, worn to multiple music festivals and concerts. I always get compliments! If you are used to real leather, you know it takes a minute to break in. So - FYI - don’t expect them to be comfortable for the first few wears. Once broken in, structure of the boot still holds up incredibly well. The footbed is also thick and supportive. Don’t scratch easily, leather fades with wear into a tasteful worn-in look. The measurements in cm are exact. I run typically between a (7-8) and got these a 7, fit perfectly with room for thick socks (wear them). For the material and quality, this price is also more than reasonable. Read more

The review is for Dr. Martin Amayaah Hi boots Brown. Price $220. I am 170 pounds, nobody would call me small. But the calves of these boots are way too large for me. Huge abnormouse calves! These are obviously Plus Size Calves Boots, but for some reason they are not marked Plus Size Calves. Why the boot calf is so wide and big? So the water, snow and rain would access my feet easier??? In addition to being huge, the boot calves are also have a cut on top and they are not 100% leather, there is a chunk of stretch fabric inserted from top to bottom of the calf, that makes it even wider! Very uncomfortable! Why not to manufacture normal calf size boots? What is the point to manufacture the monster jumbo calves for normal size people! Very disappointed! The leather material is extremely hard, feels like wood. It looks like I received somebody's return, because the boots I received already have bunch of leather wrinkles, it looks old and smashed. The ankles fit alright, don't wiggle. Read more

These boots are absolutely stunning! I receive so many compliments on them, and the color is fantastic. I haven’t been able to find another pair quite like these, which makes them even more special. That said, I’m on the fence about keeping them. They are not wide-calf friendly, so keep that in mind. As with most Doc Martens, you need to size down—I typically wear a size 10 in boots, but I went with a 9.5, and the foot portion fits perfectly. However, getting them on takes some serious effort (core workout included!), and they’re definitely hard to put on. Wearing socks with them is tricky because the tight fit pulls on my toes, which gets uncomfortable after a while. Unfortunately, they feel better without socks, but that’s not my preference. They also crease at the ankle, which can be a bit painful over long wear. Plus, the tight calf fit leaves marks on my legs. While none of this is unbearable, it’s definitely a nuisance rather than completely painful. Would I wear them? Yes—but with the mindset that beauty is pain. For the price, I expected them to be more comfortable right out of the box. I’m hoping, like most Doc Martens, they’ll break in over time and become more wearable. Only time will tell. Overall, I’d rate them 2 or 3 out of 10 for comfort but 10/10 for style. If you’re willing to endure the break-in process, these boots are worth it—but the question is, is beauty worth the pain? I love the look of these. The color is very rich. I was worried about the comfort, but they were not what I expected. The boot was wide and didn’t hurt or pinch my feet anywhere. I will probably add a thin supportive insole, however. I can tell my feet will get fatigued from lack of cushion and arch support. What is most challenging about these boots are how stiff they are. I don’t expect them to be broken in by the end of this season. It just makes the boots hard to walk in because the leather doesn’t have enough give around the ankle. The back of the shaft also rubs in the back pit of my knees when I sit down. (I’m 5’4”) I feel kind of like Frankenstein when trying to get around in them. They look great, though, so I’m willing to put in the effort to break them in because I will wear them for years to come. Read more

So happy with these boots! They are exactly what I’d hoped they would be. I do have slim, defined calves and small ankles and have trouble finding boots to hug my calves. There are perfect for me. I’m 5’1” and 112 lbs. The boots start out very stiff, just like all Docs, but are fairly comfortable right out of the box. So far I’ve worn them with tall socks and skirts. I’ll be able to wear them with skinny jeans as long as they don’t go past my ankle. And they are tall- they come up to just below my knee on the inside and mid-knee on the outside. Read more
