Love, love, LOVE these boots! I've always wanted a pair and am happy with them now that I finally have them. Totally did not realize they were steel-toe boots when I bought them (they were on sale for 30% off!) so that was a nice bonus to discover when I tried them on the first time. They're snug around the ankle, easy to get on and off, stylish and sturdy, AND I get an extra three inches of height too! Two complaints. First is that the fit is a little loose (I'm a size 7 and ordered a size 7), but wearing a pair of thick socks, or two pairs of thin socks, makes them fit perfectly. Not a big deal considering they're my fall/winter boots for work, and I intended on wearing thick socks with them anyway. Second, the elastic on the outside of the right boot is already starting to fray :( I didn't realize that that was "a thing" common to the Chelsea boots after Doc Marten switched manufacturers, so to say I'm bummed is a bit of an understatement. I bought them in September 2022 and it's now the beginning of November 2022, so it only took about 2 months of consistent wear for the fraying to start. JAN 2025 UPDATE: These boots are still amazing! The fraying on the side has not changed or gotten worse over the years, and I've worn them way more often than just in the fall/winter (they're super cute with ankle socks and sundresses in the summertime FYI). I purchased the official Doc Marten sole inserts, and now they fit PERFECTLY and I can wear them year-round comfortably. Also, there was never a breaking-in period with these boots, they were perfectly comfortable from the get-go. Read more

These are real Docs, so the quality is predictably good. Solid construction, supple leather that wasn’t marred at all, honestly pretty comfy. I stood in them for 4+hrs at two shows and my feet were a bit sore but really not bad. Easy to walk in. As you could imagine, it a very heavy, chunky boot. People are saying these are hard to get on but part of that is the weight. Thinner socks are better with these and you do have to really shove your foot in. I saw people saying these are too tight on the ankle and I can see that. The leather here is quite stiff and I don’t know that these would be comfortable on someone with larger ankles. In the rest of the foot, they fit a bit big—I’m usually a 10 and a 9 in these is still a little big. I feel like you’d want these boots to fit a little on the snug side because they are clunky and a tighter fit would feel more secure with the weight. The elastic gusset is thick and durable like they’re non-platform chelsea boots. I used a leather balm and now I wear them in the rain and light snow. I love the chunkiness and weight of Docs, they always feel so solid and they have consistently lasted me years. I like that the look of Docs isn’t as dainty as Thursday Boots or Blundstones. I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for something that would be stylish, fun, and super comfy without giving me foot pain. I was a little hesitant when they arrived, because I REALLY had to force my foot into the boot since they don't unzip or anything, and I was so disappointed. After much tugging and several deep breaths, I was able to get my feet into the boots. I decided to walk around the house in them to see how they felt, which was instantly comfortable. BUT, I dreaded talking them off as I wasn't sure if I could get them back on again! I was very near packaging them back up and returning them, but I decided to try again the next day to see if they had stretched out at all after wearing them around the house. Thankfully, they had! I was so happy! A few weeks in now, and I have worn them standing all day, shopping all day, (they were great on icy snowy sidewalks for grip and keeping my feet dry and happy) and they feel great! The opening has stretched out perfectly so I can pretty easily get them on and off! I do suggest wearing at least crew length socks so they don't rub on your shins before they are broken in. These do add quite a bit of height, and make me (at 5'10") tower over my (also 5'10") husband, but I'm trying to embrace it. 😉 I wear a size 10, have wide feet, and very high arches, and these have the perfect amount of room! First off, these Docs are seriously so cute. You're paying for a high quality Chelsea with this option. Could easily be paired with with anything. The downfall is getting your foot inside. Oh.my.lord. I get that it takes time to break in, but to break a sweat getting it on? Nah. Read more

They are absolutely stunning! They look beatiful and flattering, but the best part its that they are really comfortable, i could walk with them for hours. Didnt need to break them, fit really well. They do run a little big, im usually size 7 or 7 1/2, i have wide feet so i didnt listen to the reviews, and bought size 7 as usual. However, if you’re going to use them with thick stockings, for cold weather, and have wide feet like i do, they will be fine. But if you’re not, then probably is better to size down. Read more

True to size but man, I’ve been wearing these to work the past 4+ months and while they weren’t difficult to break in aside from the usual, they’ve really negatively impacted my feet and therefore back. No support or cushioning, even after these 4+ months they’re not “molded” to my feet, my feet are just kind of loose in them yet thick socks make them too tight. Just not supportive daily shoes.
