This is a wonderful heater and a lifesaver for us since our furnace needs a part that will take ten days to arrive, and it's getting cold. With this heater, we don't even need the furnace. This heater is very well made and seems as though it will be very durable, yet it's lightweight and easy to move from place to place. I love the fact that it has all the built-in safety features, and it warms up the room fast. (We've been using it in the living room.) It's very quiet, oscillates smoothly, and heats the room to the exact temperature you want. If you want to keep your room at 75 F., for example, the heater will shut off when the temperature reaches 75, then come back on when the temperature drops. The remote control makes it easy to change modes, to turn the temperature up or down, or turn the heater on or off from wherever you're sitting. No need to get up and go over to the heater, though the top of the heater also has controls, so if you misplace the remote, don't worry. You can still operate the heater. I purchased this heater in December 2023 and have used it for about two years. Initially, it worked well and provided sufficient warmth for the room. However, after this winter, its performance noticeably declined. While it still blows warm air, it no longer heats the room effectively as it did before, which ultimately required me to replace it. I decide to replace it with an Lasko space heater this time, as one I own over ten years is still functioning reliably.) Overall, this heater is still a good option if you’re looking for something more aesthetic and well-made in terms of design and build quality, as long as long-term durability isn’t your top priority. I bought the heater to help warm my ground level master bedroom which is difficult to keep at a comfortable temperature without running the heating system non-stop. The system in my three-level condo was apparently designed by a toddler -- the thermostat is in the hallway with the stairs that go all the way to the loft, so the heat in the hallway just rises, keeping the hallway and ground level cool and the loft toasty. With this heater, I can turn off the thermostat in the hallway and keep the master bedroom door closed, allowing the bedroom to warm to a comfortable level with a minimum of energy use. The heater is smaller than I expected from the picture. Of course the dimensions are given in the product description and are accurate, but I somehow expected it to be similar in size to my air purifier, which is nearly twice as tall. It's not an issue, but I was surprised how small the box was that Amazon delivered, and thought I might have received the wrong item until I opened the box. Speaking of the box and packaging, I like that it was pretty basic and not intended for retail display, without pictures or glossy cardboard -- just a brown cardboard box with two moulded cardboard inserts that hold the heater at both ends of the cylinder to prevent contact damage inside the slightly oversized box. Feature-wise, I can't think of anything that I would want that the heater doesn't have. Easy and accurate temperature control, different power settings to minimize energy usage, an oscillating feature which helps heat large spaces more evenly, and best of all a remote control so you don't have to get out of bed to make changes. The design is modern and pleasing, the white LEDs turn off when the heater shuts down (it's amazing how annoyingly bright small LEDs can be at night in a bedroom), and the noise level is fairly low -- not as quiet as my air purifier on its lowest fan speed, but the heater moves quite a bit more air and will shut down when the target temperature has been reached. There was some smell when I first turned the heater on which reminded me of a soldering iron, but that went away quickly. The warranty is also generous at five years.
