I have tried a lot of hair supplements and so far this is my favorite. I have not seen any results in even the really expensive supplements but with the DrFormulas DHT Blocker I do see more new growth than I have in a while. If used with a daily regimen I've come up with, this WORKS miracles! Bought this for hubby who's been struggling with thinning hair/hair loss since his 42nd birthday. Ten years ago, he had hair transplants done, but the constant attacks by DHT almost undid every painful transplant that cost well over $3200. I’m really upset because I started taking these like 2 months ago but at first I wasn't taking them frequently enough to know if they work. The second month I decided I really wanted to try to get my hair to grow long strong and thick so I started taking them everyday twice a day some times even 3 times (3 pills). But then like the other reviews say, I started to feel really sick. For a whole week I was feeling nauseous, I had bad head aches like throbbing head aches. My arms and back did get itchy as well when I first started taking them but I wanted nice hair so bad I just ignored it. If I’m honestly I’m upset because I do feel like I see my head more full, and like it might be working but unfortunately I won’t be able to take them anymore due to the fact that they make me feel so sick. I've been taking this for 3 months now and noticed 1 thing first that let me know that it was working. I'm 43 years olds and had hair transplants about 10 years ago. My doctor gave me propecia which I swear to you is the worst drug on the planet. Side effects that make you want to kill yourself. Propecia is avodart which is a prostate med that caused a side effect of dht blockage. Well, after taking it for 6 months and getting sicker and sicker I stopped taking it. About 2 months later i had issues with my prostate including difficulty urinating, frequent feeling of need to urinate and weak stream. Since I was completely against taking any meds for the issue I pretty much had to just deal with it. Well...flash forward 10 years. My transplants are thinning and I can't shave my head anymore due to big scar around my head from ear to ear from the transplant. I decide I'm going to try to do something about it. I start doing research and find that none of these products have any side effects based off of all of the reviews I've read. About a week after I start taking this I notice I'm not having to go to the bathroom all of the time and after the first month all of those symptoms went away. I started doing a little research and found that most of what makes up this stuff is also in the prostate supplements that are out today. Basically this stuff is like propecia only you won't want to commit suicide while you're on it. At 3 months (along with minoxidil and dht blocking shampoo I've had people asking if I've been dying my hair and others mention that my hair was a lot thicker in the back. The reason why they are asking if I've been dying my hair is because the hair follicles are a lot fatter now and look darker. I don't really look at the back with a mirror very often but there is definitely more hair now. I am far from having a full head of hair but I would say that the density is about the same as about 9 months after my transplant which was "appropriate" for my age but still thinner. 3 more months to go so I can say that I've given it a true test and I hope to see even better results.
