I bought this because I make holsters and my dewalt died on me. I needed it next day to get a holster done so I bought this, the cheapest one I could find that would be here next day. I was happy I got one kydex holster done with it. A full year later it just died on me. I’ve made 42 holsters with it. So I’m not even mad it died. It served me well. It has two settings ah that’s nice and SWEET BABY JESUS IT JUST MELTED A DIAMOND… other than that it worked as it should. It never smoked or smelled like others are saying. So take that review as you will. Read more
Bought this to help shape foam for cosplay, it works a treat, very happy with this. Fair warning, the nozzle gets very very hot at the high setting. Read more
Mine was defective out of the box. It arrived quickly. When I turned it on it was silent, I was expecting some hairdryer sound. It got orange hot smoked and smelled like it was burning, before I could turn it off or unplug it, it shut off. The whole event lasted about 8 seconds. I think there is supposed to be some kind of fan or motor to blow the heat out. It did not do this so it burned itself out I think. Not smelled awful. Thanks for the hassle free return. I cannot recommend this product. I tried to buy the cheapest heat gun I could find because I only needed it for a few minutes of work. Well unless it is only a few seconds of work, I would spend a little more and get something made of a little better quality. This think looks and feels cheap, and is probably dangerous too. Glad I didn’t get shocked or burned. Read more
Doesn't have exact temperatures but does the job well. Read more
Works well. Burned myself a few times tying to touch the metal piece. Have used it a few times trying to solder the cold soldered shrink wrap tube connector for electrical wire connections. It worked well for that. It also works well to remelt dried off adhesive for wire/cable plastic tubes but be careful because it melted the plastic conduit as well. Very good and strong heat gun. No burning smell from it yet...knock on wood! Read more
I sorted by price and this was the cheapest, but the quality is not cheap. I was able to delaminate some adhered tile from my wall without issues. I recommend you run the heat gun on high outside for at least a minute. There are some oils or something in the element that need to burn off. It has a chemical smell if you don’t do this. Read more
The media could not be loaded. This heat gun has a 3 position switch "low - off - high" which is more durable then a variable switch. I use this heat gun to melt wax. It does a good job and is less noisy and faster then a hair dryer. I mostly only use the low setting because the high setting is very hot. Read more
