this night light says it's for kids, but I beg to differ. It's such a cute and quirky design. That's exactly the kind of whimsical thing I love to have in my home. The duck light comes wearing a jaunty cap and a crossbody bag and has funny little feet that actually aren't light up and sort of hang off of it which just begs for it to be put on a shelf and displayed. It charges quickly through a standard USB and I find that the charge lasts a while. It has three lighting settings and all of them are soft and diffused and not harsh. while I have it mostly for decorative reasons, It's definitely strong enough that if I'm reading something on my couch it adds a little bit of illumination. to change the light settings between the three that the night light comes from You simply have to tap on the soft body of the duck. The fact that it's made of a sort of lightweight silicone does make it ideal if it is put into a kid's room because it's not heavy and can't fall and hurt them if they're trying to touch it. The novelty of tapping on it to get the light to change is really fun too. It's just such a silly adorable little gem to have in your house if you're someone who likes kawaii decor. just that little bit of useful and whimsical yet compact that Japan does such an amazing job at. The manufacturer included a charging cable that can either be connected to your computer or your own block adapter. Once charged, you can choose either a timer setting of 30 minutes or leaving it on where you can tap it to turn it off yourself. There are 3 brightness settings - low, medium, high - that you can access from either tapping the soft silicone duck itself or the base itself where the switch is located. There is a visible difference between all of the brightness levels. The low setting is a soft warm colored light, the medium setting is a brighter warm colored light and the highest setting is a bright warm colored light that is ideal when you want to read or change your baby without waking up your partner. The duck maintains a cool to the touch feeling when it is on while the base gets slightly warm. In addition to being a useful night light, it can also be used to hold your cell phone so you can watch tv or a movie. The light would also be a perfect gift for a fan of ducks. The manufacturer stated that it has a long battery life since it can be used for 12 hours before needing another charge. I have been using it for half hour intervals and found that I haven't needed to charge it yet. This duck light is really cute. It’s very easy to use. There’s a switch for “off”, “on”, or “30 minutes”. I taught my daughter to use the 30-minute option so she doesn’t accidentally leave it on all night or when she walks away to play with something else. If she’s having a rough night, it’s not an issue for me to keep it on for hours (it can last through the night). It’s very easy to adjust the brightness, you can tap its head and at some angles you can “hug” it with your hands. This is one of the cutest nightlights I've ever had. The duck is really cute and sits really well on my desk, the size is great as if doesn't take up a lot of space, it doesn't move around and would be perfect for children as well. I absolutely love that their is a 30 minute timer, that is my favorite feature, I use it often for when I read before bed and don't want to get up to turn off my lamp. Very easy to use and set up, came with a charging cord, but I have been using it almost every night for a month, and haven't had to charge it yet, really great battery life. The USB port is in the back, and it also came with a power cord to charge it. The light quality is perfect, you can adjust the brightness by tapping on the ducks head, there are 3 levels, and very different from each other.
