This ball may actually be magic

So Alli SaysJune 8, 2015✓ Verified purchase

I'm not sure what kind of magic this ball is made of, but it exceeded mine and my husband's expectations. My husband works on his feet, sometimes 12-14 hour days. His feet always hurt, and he said sometimes it feels like plantar fasciitis. He was using our daughters wooden tomato (play food for her kitchen) for his foot, and I was pretty unhappy about it. We have a foam roller, which has been one of our best purchases (seriously, for back, hip, legs, whatever...they're amazing!) so I was hoping Amazon would have something similar for feet. I found this little ball and saw all of the amazing reviews. I read through, and honestly, I was skeptical. I didn't see how this could help, but I figured it was cheap ($5-6 at time of ordering) so why not give it a try. My husband used it the second it got here. He said only 5 minutes made a huge difference. He loves it! He also has hand pain (he's had surgery on one for guyon canal release and carpal tunnel and is awaiting the same surgery on the other) and this helps relieve it. I suffer from hand pain as well, arthritis of the thumb joint and what sometimes feels like carpal tunnel pain. This little ball does wonders for relieving my pain as well. It doesn't last long term, but it's a welcome instant pain reducer. I also have muscle pain in my shoulder blade areas and in my lower back. Since my husband has hand pain, he's not able to rub my back often. With this, he can use it to rub my back, and it massages his hand at the same time. Two birds, one stone! I've used this ball on my hips, outer thighs, calves, shoulders...basically anywhere you can think of. We're going to get at least one more, probably 2. Such a great value for the money. Read more

Pretty nice

Smaller size than expected however great for target areas and I do feel like it "hurts' more which I'm learning is good. It is very firm there is a much different in my opinion design than the others. It is more rubber and it of course is smaller. Almost feels like what a dog toy would feel like. I'm using this with combo of others as well. It has shown some improvement of my leg pain. Picture is of product on left and other product on right for size comparison. Read more

Feels like a nice foot massage controlled by your ability to move your foot. :)

M.C.S.August 30, 2015✓ Verified purchase

This is a relatively small ball, no more than three inches including protrusions, and while it is made of rubber (which makes it flexible), it is also very sturdy and strong. My first reaction was "wow, this is hard" but once I used it, it fit into the angles and curves of my foot very nicely. Do not expect it to it be the solution to all your foot aches, what this does is massage your foot where it is able to reach. Does it cure anything like plantar fasciitis? No. Does it feel goooood after a long day on your feet? Absolutely. And for that, it is well worth the $5 it costs. So, yes, I would recommend it and even buy it again to have one at home, in different rooms of the house, and even at work. I just wish that dirt and debris from the floor surface (in which you have to roll it) would not get stuck on it but then again, that would go for everything that goes on the floor (even the dogs)! Happy customer here. :) Read more

Best Product Ever!

Autumn GraceDecember 21, 2014✓ Verified purchase

Oh, my gosh, this thing is AMAZING! It doesn't look like much, honestly. It's a small, dark green, rubber ball that fits in the palm of your hand. (Slightly bigger than a golf ball, but much smaller than a tennis ball.) It's covered in flat rubber "nubs," so it looks a bit odd, like some kind of weird, alien fruit. But don't let its appearance throw you off. This bumpy ball will save your feet from misery! It resembles a dryer ball in many ways, but it's not the same at all. It's softer, more rubbery, and the nubs are flat-topped and short, so they won't hurt your feet. How to use it: Drop the ball on the floor, then (gently) step on it with a bare foot. (Or you can wear socks, if you're modest.) Move your foot, rolling the ball around. Up and down, back and forth, in circles---whatever feels good! It's like getting a foot massage---only better, because you control exactly where you're being rubbed, and you control how hard or light the pressure is. If you have balance issues, sit down before using it. Or lean against something, so you don't fall. Note that your feet may be extra sensitive at first, like how you jump when someone first starts rubbing your feet, especially if they're extra sore. Go gently until your nerves adjust, and then you can press as hard as you like. I haven't tried massaging my back with this ball, although it should work for that, too. For a back massage, my suggestion would be to put two of these inside a very thin sock. (If the sock is thick, you'll lose the benefit of the little nubs.) Knot the end of the sock, then lean against a wall, with the sock resting against the part of your back that needs massaging. Bend your knees and move up and down, rolling it against your back. Press harder if you need more pressure. A physical therapist taught me to do this using two tennis balls inside a sock! It works great for accupressure, as well as reaching muscle spasms or pinched nerves in your back. I'd imagine this product would be even better than tennis balls, since it's smaller and has the rubber nubs. Even if you only use it for your feet, it's a bargain at any price. I can't imagine how I survived without it all my life! Five stars and highly recommended for anyone who does a lot of walking, or who stands all day. Bring one along on your next trip to a theme park, or use it after a long day of shopping! Your feet will thank you. Read more

Small but mighty!

Vivian ThronsonSeptember 24, 2025✓ Verified purchase

This little green guy works wonders. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and certain workouts can cause flare ups. It was super easy to roll my foot on the ball while watching tv. It provides a good massage and intensity can be increased by pressing the foot harder into the ball. The design on the ball really works the foot muscles. I highly recommend to anyone who is hard on their feet. Read more
