Although it's not made by a well-known bedding brand, this 3" foam mattress topper is comfortable and attractive. I got mine in Twin XL, which is the bed size most commonly used in college dorm rooms, and with "back to school" sales already underway, I'm surprised that DYMGFZD has stopped selling the Twin XL and is only offering the topper in Queen and King. Maybe they're just temporarily sold out? Anyway, the mattress pad I received is the the proper width and length, and seems pretty solidly made. It was compressed and squished down flat for shipping, and I questioned whether it was really going to expand to 3", but it did puff back up, fairly quickly, and I was able to use it the same night, because it had hardly any smell, which was nice. I've purchased many foam sleep products over the years, at varying price points, and the majority take days, or even weeks to finish off-gassing. One other feature I should mention is the fact that this topper has 4 elastic straps attached, sewn on a diagonal, one per corner. I didn't pay much attention to this when ordering, but after a few weeks of use, I've really come to appreciate the straps! They do slip off occasionally, but the overall amount of shifting and creeping is way down. With regards to the cooling claims, I can't say I've noticed much temperature improvement. Several other reviewers mentioned that they DID find this pad to be cooling, so maybe it's just my weird body being weird (I definitely run hot year round) but personally, I didn't find the cooling effects to be very noticeable. Overall, I'd recommend this topper as a good value for everyday use, and it would also be an economical way to improve the comfort of a dorm, bunk, inflatable, trundle, cot, or guest room bed. As a senior , I wasn't as thrilled as I thought I would be . It was good at first but after working and then sleeping on it , I woke up sore in certain areas that I didn't have before. Quality is great , thickness was not enough for me , my own fault . I'll put it on my grandson's bed and get me a thicker foam . My favorite thing about this is the straps . Holds the cover down. I am a firm believer that no guest bed should be TOO comfortable, otherwise they'll never leave. But the mattress we have in there is like a rock, yet somehow less comfortable. My parents were coming for the weekend and while I am happy to torture my children and friends, I wanted to make it a more comfortable experience for them. I was ready to buy a very similar item from a big big box store that rhymes with Shmostco when I saw this one and I immediately ordered it. Fearing it might not be here on time, I still purchased the other one, but nope...this one arrived VERY quickly (the box it was in was quite overwhelming, did they have to put it in the largest box they could find?) In any event, I was able to compare the 2 and this one is FAR superior! Because I didn't have a lot of time on my hands, I was nervous that there might be a fowl scent like the stone mattress I have in there now, that thing (also from Shmostco) came in a box and stunk up my entire house for a month. I would've returned it if I thought I could get it back in that box! In any event...this mattress pad has little to no nasty smell and that's a HUGE WIN in my book! I was able to lay it out over night and put it right on the next day. Now let's get to the FUN part! If ya'll are like me, the WORST thing about mattress pads is putting the darn things on. Well worry no more, folks! You basically just set this on top of your existing rock...ahem, mattress....and then buckle her in! Or just slide said buckled strap over the corner. It's SO ridiculously easy to put on, I love it! I purchased a queen size; it was a tad large so I have about 2-3 inches of overhang, but once I put the sheets on you couldn't tell and it doesn't seem to matter. Overall, the bed is now a thousand percent more comfortable. I cannot believe the difference! This type of pad is so much nicer than your run of the mill pad because it's not just a bunch of "fluff", it's soft, yet firm. So it's not like your sinking into a cloud which can be hard on some peoples backs. This one is "just right" Goldilocks' style of cushiony! I appreciate a lot of what this mattress pad has to offer, but I especially love that you can take off the cover by unzipping it and washing it, easy-peasy! This mattress topper is WELL worth the price, and a fantastic product, especially having the opportunity compare it to Shmostco's version! Read more
