I love this vacuum! My house is half hardwood and half carpet; this vacuum does both with ease. As some reviewers have noted, the waste cup is kind of small, but so easy to empty I really don't mind. Yes, you do have to hold done the trigger but it's so light to the touch that is works with a normal grip & is not a problem. I wish it would stand up on it's own & a removable battery would be great. However, the trade off is that it is very lightweight. The run time is sufficient and recharge doesn't take as long as I expected. The swivel head is amazing at getting into tight spots & works equally well on carpet and hard wood. My corded Bissell is difficult to use on the pile carpet in our house but this Dyson beats the pants of the corded. I never really have to use the power boost function; the normal suction is plenty strong. This wasn't as expensive as some of the other Dysons. We moved to almost all hardwood floors and with 2 dogs hair is a daily issue. This vacuum does an excellent job picking up the hair from both the hardwood and carpet floors. It is lite weight which makes it also easy for my wife. Battery life has not been an issue, we have a 2,000 sq.ft. house and the battery last. This vacuum came with a lot of different tools for both hardwood and carpet so there was no additional tools we needed. The vacuum does a good job vacuum ing. Great suction. My only complaint is the use time is really short whereby gave to charge often when I use it. I have a V6 vacuum and it runs twice as long as my V10 in battery time! Becausevof that issue I am disappointed! Read more

Yes this is a more pricey option for a stick vacuum but if you are looking for a great cordless option, this is the one to get. I tried a low-priced cordless vacuum and it stopped working after 3 weeks. This one lets you set the suction power level and comes with a lot of attachments. I mostly use it for my wood stairs and getting the corner cobwebs from the ceiling. Very happy with it so far! Read more

Great RV vacuum. Use in our large 5th wheel and it works very well, picks up dog hair as good as any upright, including our large Dyson. Recommended.. Update: 6 months in and this is still the best vacuum I have ever used. My daughter just bought a new corded Dyson vac, hated it and returned it. I let her use this V10 and she loved it and is buying one for herself , she has a 1200 sq ft house and the battery lasted for doing the entire house. Read more

Battery did not work so vacuum is useless. Dyson helped troubleshoot to confirm the battery is a lemon but Dyson won’t honor the warranty because bought via Amazon. Return seems complicated or impossible because I have to ship back but also says not allowed to ship back lithium battery if defective. So far very painful process all around and I am out $ with no working vacuum. Have contacted this seller directly but no response. Read more

It’s an investment for sure. But other brands love tried have been a waste of time, money, and my aching back. I have used Dysons in my home since ‘04. This one is for my 87yo mother who just moved to an apartment behind my brother’s house. The yard is filled with red clay and I could not convince her to enforce a no shoes inside policy. A broom and dust pan wasn’t cutting it. She needed something with powerful AND lasting suction(check AND check), lightweight(check), easy to empty(check), easy to put up and get out daily(check and check), and with the bonus attachments which allow her to dust and reach corners without moving heavy items(check and check).
